should refs be miked up like....

    the american football refs...that way they can explain their decisions to the crowd ?

    would put an end to an awful lot of contraversy...

    would take the pressure off them too i think...

    No way, could you imagine some of the things they would pick up off the players. It's not that type of tech needed, just keep those conversations on the pitch were they should be, it's over scrutinised at times as it is

    I agree that they should be mic'ed up...........

    With those huge furry ones on the side of the pitch.......... K-Y optional !!!!!!!!!!

    no ye narna..the american refs just turn them on to explain the decision..

    imagine it on sunday.." No goal..foul on jagielka by number 32 ..climbing all over his back..No goal..free kick everton"

    puts the emphasis clearly on the offending player..ie: you've just cost your team 3 points...in my mind it would eradicate a lot of the diving and cheating going on if they're "publicly named" at the time..as a team mate you'd go mad..

    it would also put a stop to the aftermatch rants ala rodgers and gerrard...

    ah, fair enough i don't watch it so i didn't know that.

    But what if the call went, no-goal off side dirty cheating rat and by the time that statement is read out sky have showed it was wrong, there would be murder in the stands in the dug out on the pitch, not feasible imo

    i agree they should be miked up.....but they would also need to be given the aid of video replays too......

    the problem at the moment is FIFA...they don't want to give the refs any help.....this leads to human errors, but also the potential for refs to influance the result of any game if they so wished....

    football is a mess.....every weekend is full of controversy...and the people running it don't care......the bigger question is why are FIFA leaving football the way it is (and UEFA and the FA are just as bad in all this)

    not sure about the replays TBH...

    FIFA, EUFA and the premier league dont want technology as it would only highlight their officials poor performances and inabilities
