i thought we were excellent played lovely football at times the first half, it was so dissapointing we drew, we were the best team by far. i thought for once rodwell did well , he just did the simple things and never tried to be a super star, and the second half we should of rapped it up, stonewall penalty, drenthe came on for billy and looked better, barkley came on and i got to give a mention to vellios he really looks like a target man, maybe moyes thought denis wasnt ready, but vellios looked very good, always the same vs villa bogey team, first time for a good few weeks ive been positive. why was neville dropped injury?

but felli was centre mid were was he, why just blame rodwell, to be honest at 1-0 it was obvious villa were gonna score, everyone was shouting moyes change, villa got on top for 5 minutes and it needed changing, drenthe on for billy(give them somethin to worry about just seemed a little that moyes didnt know what to do until it was 1-1 still made up with vellios

Vellios is looking promising and Rodwell is starting to show us why he had a £20mil price tag on his head

Because mate in that little passage of play, rodwell was the main holding player, him and felli kept swapping during the game, when the ball was played to petrov, rodwell was the closest man and he just stood watching, didnt close the space down and they scored. Apart from that he had a decent game.

but sometimes when someone hits a peach from 25 yards into the corner you got to accept it

Mate, watch motd or football first, then tell me Rodwell didnt have chance to close down Petrov, cos he did, and it cost us a goal, i wont accept anything when it can be prevented, like i say, apart from that he was workmanlike and had a solid game.

When defending you need a lot of experience in order to make the right decision. Rodders didn't rush to Petrov because (I believe) he doesn't want Petrov to get past him.

he doesnt close the space down at all dan. its that simple. he basically lets him shoot. he doesnt get within 4 yards. it was LAZY. APart from that, there is hope, lets hope he keeps improving and builds on his performance today which was good on the whole.

but top and bottom of it most of time you get away with a small lapse ,but petrov hit one into bottom corner from 25 yards, good goal accept it, whether anyone at fault 9 times out of ten it sails over , im not going to look for an excuse just to blame rodwell, he had a decnt game

Johhhhhhhhhhhhhhnoooooooooo! i said he had a decent game, i just think he could have got tighter for petrovs goal thats all! like im sure people think certain people could have done something about the 2nd goal, it doesnt mean one thing means they have had a bad game amigo :)
