Fox soccer - "Moyes will be the next coach at Manchester United"

    How worried are you about this happeneing in the future? During the halftime show this past weekends game with QPR, the commentators were going on and on about how good Moyes is and how he is probably the best manager in the league. Then they all agreed how when SAF's contract is up that Moyes will be leading the red devils. Just curious on how everyone reacts to this thought or if it's a non issue.

    wouldnt be surprised if fergie quit at the end of this season. but think they will go for a higher profile manager with a track record for winning trophies.

    Are Fox Sports as laughable as Fox News?

    I personally believe it depends on who's making the decision. Many will have you believe it's Alex Ferguson's decision and if he's moving upstairs into a director of football type role, it probably will be his decision, and he will choose Moyes.

    If it's anyone else's decision, they'll go for a Mourinho.

    I don't believe Ferguson will retire until Man Utd win the title again and I don't think that will happen this season!

    Change "some" to "most" and I'll agree. I don't know hardly anyone who like "soccer". It's made fun of over here mostly. I also get made fun of for liking hockey and get called unamerican because of my sports I choose to watch - not football. But it IS growing in great numbers the past decade and is even getting bigger with being on espn every saturday morning. Also, having a kick **** womens national team has opened some eyes aswell. However, any of you close minded f@cks can just ignore this thread and not respond. Thanks.

    i loved seeing soccer when i was in the states and they were quoting career shots and shots on target... thems the kinda stats we need over here!

    We over analyze ever single stat in every sport for every player and team as a whole. One stat keeping I disagree with in soccer though is the own goal. This past weekend was a prime example. Yes Distin's shot ricochet'd off Cesar and back in but if Distin never shot it, then it doesn't happen. It should be rightfully Distin's goal. You all have that backwards, imo.

    thats our FA's doing that....we have a "dubious goals panel" that decides....if you shoot on target and it's deflected in it's your goal...off target and deflected in not your goal...in distins case the ball was travelling back out towrds play..not his goal...they're a law unto themsleves...unfortunately..

    Sometimes I'm embarrassed to be an American. We have an arrogant,not everyone,, toward anything different. From health care to sports we think we know it all and refuse to accept that someone else has a better idea. I too love hockey and soccer and so many people here diss soccer[football]. If they don't like it just watch something else. Baseball , which is the most boring sport in the world to watch,was my sport to play growing up. if you don't know the strategy and what to look for it's even worse. My kids converted me as three of them went to college playing their passion while getting their education
    That being said America has it backward. The wealthy here play organized soccer. Parents that can afford it get their kids into camps and premier teams which are very expensive. Trust me I know. Poor kids are left out. .Our best players are children of immigrant families who can not afford to continue playing as they work

    i think thats just part of the america "culture" though isn't it ? you actually pay for what you want and if you cant afford it you dont get it... as opposed to our culture where everyone expects it for free ie: paid for by the taxpayer !

    moyes would have nothing to gain career wise by going to united.Anything he won there would be credited to fergusons legacy and if he failed to win a trophy in his first season he would be down the road. Everything achieved at EVERTON is down to him and it will happen.STARTING ON SUNDAY. HAVE FAITH.
