Apparently Howie... such feelings mean we don't support our club...

What she's trying to say is that kind of behavior is not helping much.

Forget about it, I go for a win on Sunday. COYB.

    "that kind of behaviour"? Explain...

does every **** believe in hocus pocus or summit? if our best 11 go out there and do their best, cheered on by all the fans (me included - otherwise why the fork woukd i go?)... is that going to be influenced one bit by how i feel now?

Ok ....let's put the record straight here.

I wasn't questioning your loyalty. How could I? I know what it means to be a Blue.

But what I can't understand is......this inherent defeatism.....how can you think for one second that your team is going to lose? Before the whistle has even been blown?

I have played sports & NEVER EVER took to the pitch/ground/court thinkng I would lose. No matter who I was up against.

It's an Evertonian thing I know. To think the worst. Sorry, but I'm bucking the trend. I'm thinking that they think like I did. So the supporters should think that way too.

History means nothing Howie. Only if you let it.

i look at games and my opinion as a fan is made up based upon past performance... form... players available... sometimes i think yes we will win... others i think we will lose... for instance i think barca would hammer us... as a fan i hope we will win... i will cheer on my team and heckle the opposition... i cant see why that is wrong?

if i am participating i have considerably more influence and would do my utmost to win... whoever the opposition...

    My point in a nutshell.

If you've got fans rocking up expecting to be beaten.........

Don't think we should insult fellow blues. That said I don't get it with Gibson. He doesn't do enough for me but fell is a major loss if he doesn't play. If piennar doesn't play I think Oviedo should get some game time. I also think that we need a mobile defensive midfielder to shadow betrays, maybe heating. If we really go for it then it may be our day.

What is it you cant understand, OGV said it, we cant help feeling the way we do coz of history, past performances in Derby's, the last 3 have been mares, the team we're possibly going to put out, nerves(we all have them prior to derby day, if ya dont well ya dont understand what it means), but we'll turn up at the game give better than our best for the team and if by chance we win, God how sweet it feels after what weve gone through all week.
I have missed a derby game at their place just coz i couldnt cope with my nerves, spent a whole day walking around Chester avoiding the score, got home switched on the Radio at what should have been 5 mins after final whistle, nothing, only the news. Then at the end of the news came the news that the game had been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, jeeeeeez all that suffering for nothing. Ya see Sheil's that's what derby day does to true blues, i hate the game, just wish the RS got relegated and we didnt have to play them......

Geez I just had a coronary reading about it.......!

Get a grip guys (as Damo loves to point out).

I went to the FA Cup FInal in 2009 so I think I know about nerves. Me & my boy drowning our sorrows afterwards. Gutted.

    But life goes on.

What I can't understand is this pointless rivalry. As I've said in another thread..... We are above them. As we should be. And we will beat their arses. End of.

Howie......walk for 2 hours........ Don't go near the game...........

Sheils you talk like i knew you would, a million miles away from a derby, no experience of it over there and well ya were here in 2009, not a clue not a clue. Tone has a go at us wools not understanding, and youre from Pool, just shows what being away for so long does, youre just not around it 24/7 like we are. It ruins your working week for months, it can make your working week for months. Get a grip, ffs you really dont understand, you want us to feel like were playing a normal Prem game, well Im sorry it isnt.....

Surely the piennar red card should be recinded in time for the match. Are we seeking this as a matter of urgency,I wonder.
