I felt Moyes played some of the lads in the wrong positions today..and it showed.   So...for the derby I really feel Oviedo should be brought in to take Peanuts place...he is fast and tricky..and I think he can fill Peanuts shoes.  Put Mirrallas back on the right...Thoughts?

oviedo has great feet and pace..left a bit to be desired defensively...

    could he handle a derby....?

hopefully felli will be back anyway...and the re shuffle becomes less of a shuffle...

We can live with Oviedo's supsect defending if he's playing left wing rather than left back so it's certainly an option worth considering. It would certainly be be baptism of fire for him in the PL though.

I don't think either Hibbert or Gibson should start at this stage having not played for 6 and 8 weeks respectively

But if Fellaini is not back, I think Moyes will go with this

    Howard
    Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines
    Osman Neville Heitinga Mirallas
    Naismith
    Jelavic

Maybe swap Osman and Mirallas around or Osman and Naismith around but thats the jist of it.

If he is back, it'll be the same - just with Fellaini instead of Naismith

Vic was absolutely dung yesterday.....at least Naismith has had a v. successful partnership previously with Jelavic.

vic did ok ..won most of his headers..tracked back and covered for coleman...biggest problem Moyes shouted too loud a him and he went down with a head injury !!

Am I the only one who thinks Naismith wasn't too bad yesterday?

Cant really criticise or praise Naismith yesterday. He became our 3 foot target man from the long ball

I had a funny feeling, looked forward to see Naismith in action. Wish he started though.

I thought he kept possession well when the ball was at his feet and always found a black shirt. Always important - but especially when down to ten men!

as some of the conversations on here can wander around like chatting with my mum. i don't know if alright to answer original question but Oviedo should definitely be in, we bought him as back up and he looks good enough to me, would much rather we risked someone who hasn't played and kept a good balance. its a home game against mid table team, decent way to ease in

    Ideal:

                       Howard
    Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines
    Mirallas Fellaini Gibson Osman/Oviedo/Magaye
                       Naismith
                         Jelavic

    Realistic:

                    Howard
    Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines
    Osman Heitinga Neville Mirallas
                   Anichebe
                    Jelavic

The reason I think Oviedo could do the job is because in the game on Sunday..Baines was not played in his usual role..but more as a traditional left back role...hence....Oviedo could play as the wide man on the left.  If Baines is to play his attacking role we can use him working with Ossie

I think we may play him to keep sterling in check, his pace is just as good and he is more mature so should be able to do that and offer an attacking threat. Same with Coleman and/or super Kev on the other wing. I have to be honest though it would be more to get at their inexperienced right back (forgot his name) and at johnson at l/b, Super Kev will have a field day with him

fuming about this red card for Pienaar......and if fellaini's out too, we have a very average midfield......no way gibson can play either......i'm worried we be as poor against Liverpool as we were against Leeds......

I'd prob go with this line up:
    Neville Jags Distin Baines
    Coleman Heitinga Osman Mirallas
    Naismith Jelavic

I don't trust Coleman at right back, and if we start with Neville & Heitinga in centre midfield we may aswell not bother showing up......

we really really need Fellaini to be fit for sunday....

I just hope they turn up and try and have a football match with us, they aren't anywhere near Swansea's level as a footballing side and look how we have taking them apart the last three head to heads when they have tried to come and play on the floor.

yeah but we had Fellaini & Pienaar in the games against Swansea......right now our best 11 will beat their best 11.....but take those 2 players out and we're a much weaker team....
