    When I was about 17 I stuck a fiver on the outsider at 33/1 in what ended up being a 3 horse race.

    It was a hurdles race and my horse was understandably way off the pace....

    The two leaders then completely and inexplicably missed a hurdle and had to double back to go over it allowing my donkey to run on through to victory!

    Nothing big really... Limerick races a few xmases ago... Got a call from someone up at Leopardstown who simply said back Katy Walsh in the last race... So we stuck a tenner on and won 200...

    the irony being that you were under 18 so wernt allowed to go collect the winnings ;)

    nah that's good going, won my first ever footy acca this weekend, i usually do terrible on them so went for 5 pretty safe choices on the prem results (Fulham, Man U, Man C, the RS, West Ham) 1.50 returned 18.50

    its not much i know but just glad to see my betting curse lifted!

    i know... :/ im ashamed of myself too.. just couldnt see any other results, and figured if they drew or lost id feel like i was getting value for my £1.50 ;)

    Years ago i done 3 tanner cross doubles,the first one went down the second Burton Tan won 10/1 the third Kirriemuir won the Champion Hurdle 50/1.

    about 4 years ago i bet 3 grand on one of Mark Prescott's that a young inexperienced Rosie Jessop was riding at Folkestone at about 8/13.......she was that inexperienced she nearly fell off it through the railings when she had to give it a smack in the last furlong, i almost had a heart ache lololol........it won by a length and a half and after that i said never again......

    Mon Mome in the National few years back, had it in my sweep at work and also stuck £1 each way, 100/1 shot. Best football bet was probably when I had 100 quid on 4 certs, 3 of them won and I was waiting on Manure who were 1-1 aster 93 mins at home to Wolves. Then up stepped JI Sung park, nearly had 4 cardiac arrests

    years and years ago me and a mate did a 6 horse 20p accumulator...we bet all the outside odds in every race.

    the first 5 romped home and we had hundreds of thousands going onto the last horse...

    me mate worked it out we were due about £1.5 million to come back...

    the last horse was beaten by a nose.....

    when we were telling the bookie and asked if he was sh1tting himself ..he said "no the limit we're allowed to pay out is £250,000 "???

    Had a few good wins on the roulette. My best bet will have to be either having £40 on Ballabriggs in the grand national a few years ago or having my last fiver on Everton to beat scunthorpe 5-0 at 50/1

    My first ever bet, a few years back (when I was 25, yes that late for a first bet ever), was Everton v Chelsea, stuck £50 on Everton win 5/1, they won 2-1! ;-)

    If I just had a bet on the next game as well against manu!!!

    when greece beat portugal in the final of the euros i had a quid on charisteas to score first and greece to win 1-0 at 94-1. i've never enjoyed watching a game less after he scored.

    When we played Swansea this season noticed Fellaini was 24/1 for next goalscorer at halftime, said to my dad stick a tenner on that, he scored!

    My dad didn't stick a tenner on it.

    Saw it advertised on the TV, but thinking back it may of been 14/1 or 17/1 which still are brilliant odds
