Hi all - my real name is Marius and i am an old Everton fan from the eighties. My 16 year old son has rekindled my interest in the game and we are active supporters now.I really enjoy the way Everton upsets the apple cart without tons of money and with a clean flowing style of play. Pity it seems as though the officials - are not to happy with us in the top 3.But let that not deter us but rather motivate us.Hope to chip in every now and then - cheers : Anti-red

My son spent 3 months teaching as volunteer in Knysna, then went travelling on his own all round S.Africa for 3 months, running out of money giving his shirts n stuff for food. He adored the place, so much so his whole right hand side of his chest is a tattoo of Africa and the big 5 Beasts, amazing Tatt, but something that will stay with him forever ....the country and the Tatt....

Welcome here from me as well! I'm from Greenland, the opposite of South Africa? Though a fellow blue supporter. :-D

We're madly glad to have Pienaar here. The Republic of South Africa's an interesting country as well. Welcome again. COYB.

Mmmm....I'm guessing they're not predominantly black areas you have mentioned there, Escla my dear.

Every country is amazing if you choose to turn a blind eye to what's really going on there. Whether you would live there is another matter & judging by the numbers of South Africans who come (or want to come) to Australia every year, I'm guessing it's not that sh*t hot over there......

Sheila, the school my son was volunteering was all black township kids, in Knysna, where corporal punishment is the norm. Just so you know youre assumption wasnt quite on the mark.....
