Is Ashley Cole the most overated player ever??

    Yes, he is overrated and I have never liked his performances. I'd prefer Gibbs for England than Cole.

    Supposedly a better defender than Baines, he was shoking for England tonight, defending was non existant. 99 caps for England, it could be this is the year that like all sportsmen, without realising your just that bit slower than you used to be, your reactions arent as good, can hide at times but when under pressure you begin to be found out...... just a thought, how old is he?

    What did he do today that was good? I swear I watch different matches to you guys. He lost his man numerous times and misplaced many passes. He didn't play like someone who is very close to being replaced; he played like someone who didn't really give a monkey's

    everyone has an off game every now and then..(exept maybe messi and ronaldo)..one bad game dont make him a crock of ****!!

    Needs Baines help, its the answer to Englands left side, good defender and good provider and can interchange during the game to cover each other, worth a try imo.......

    He old, he has them far too often, he has them more frequently as time goes on. It's time to retire, like Terry did. I hate him but I respect a lot him for doing the right thing and giving England an actual chance (even if he had other reasons for doing so).

    i cant really remember him having too many bad games for chelsea or england to be honest with you pal..mind you at 31 he is deffo nearer the end of his career than the start..cant stand him as a person myself but as a player hes been very good., if england qualify for brazil in 2 years time..more than likley baines could be starting..fingers crossed!!

    What is so good about him?? I don't hate Cole, I just cannot understand why people think he is a "world class" player. Is it because he plays for a London club?? I just don't get it.

    he's also done Cheryl so i'd say thats 2-0 to ashley

    Ashley Cole has been consistently good for England for the best part of his 99 caps, He is (or was ) our only genuine world class player and there has not been a better left back than him fo at least the last 5 years in the whole world.


    But his attitude that he gives off at times leaves a lot to be desired.
