    ....it seems glaringly obvious that England have problems on the left defending with Cleverly n Cole being overlapped n passed through continuously by Poland. Why dont England combine Baines with Cole? if Cole is a better defender and Baines is a better attacker, seems obvious to me to combine them.

    It limits Gerrards options if he can't pass to the left at all in case he accidentally finds Baines.
