well we still have 3 corners to fill in for starters. That'll add about 10,000.

although filling one corner would mean we'd have to demolish or move the church

If we had money would Liverpool Council give the go ahead for two redevelopments so close to each other?

I love Goodson too also disturbed by the title of the thread as Ogv is with the Rylan picture.

Dunno if the like the idea of ground sharing either, I think we could do lots better on kit sales and upping the frequency of buying and selling players since we seem to do well on.

Re-developing goodison would be ideal, but where is the money to come from? bank loan? not likely. investor? where is his return?

BK hasnt got that kind of cash and if he had again, where is his return on it?

we are in a very tough spot. we need to a modern stadium to increase our income but we dont have the cash or the credit to do it.

Why spend a fortune upgrading a stadium that we don't have a waiting list for anyway?

2 games has us at 39k, why even bother making it bigger? I'd rather we spent the money on securing the clubs future and improving the team rather than throwing it away on a ground that won't get filled.

As I've said countless times, it isn't the seating that earns you money, it's the executive boxes. Prices can go for £30k per game for one box. We have 2 (or 9, can't remember). City have something like 80.

Yeah, including voting against any proposition to move elsewhere, because if we do move, they don't benefit at all. The council will hold us back pretty much forever.

You can say it as many times as you like its irrelevant. How many players do you think we would have to sell to make the Ethihad? bearing in mind of course they then spent hundreds of millions on players to entice fans to come and pay for these things.. It cost them 20mil just to make their 66 boxes. We would have no team left if we bought a stadium as that is the only source of money we have, and do we even have 66 fans with enough money to buy the things for a year? And even if we did it would take decades to pay back the money from the profits the boxes make.
Disregarding the vast sums of money we would lose on league positions through the inevitable player sales to finance this long term plan it simply doesn't make sense.
They are a great asset to have but would take decades to make a return on if your using that as the basis for a new stadium.
Now is the time to go for position not stadium. The money throughout the league with the new TV deal means everyplace is worth gold.. When that bottoms out is when we go for a stadium I reckon as attendance figures will make far more difference to our finance.

Yes,we need to end the restricted viewing seats.most annoying to onle see one of the goalmouths in comfort. If the club did decide to refurbish fans could contribute to a grand prize draw that would generate some cash

What you forget is that GP is borderline health n safety at the momment and each year it gets worse. It has been mooted in some supporters clubs that the Top Balcony is in need of serious attention, Im not scaremongering either as that is where Ive had my season ticket for donkeys years. So whether ya love GP or not it cant go on forever before financially it will not be there to be maintained, so its a serious issue to either relocate or to have NOW a major uphaeval of the site.......TRUE
