I'm a danish bloke who have been following Everton FC since they beat Eltons Watford in the FA Cup final. I have never been in Goodison Park, but I have every intension of watching Everton, preferably on home soil. :)

Being danish and only having little knowledge about Merseyside and the age composition of evertons fans here, I was sligthly worried reading an article, where the author claimed that the numbers of evertonians are dwindling. He claimed, that while the evertonians are loyal, teams such as LFC, Manchester United and Manchester City attracts the young people (potentional evertonians).

Is this true? I hope not, I would like to see Everton FC thrive and have a large fanbase.

I appologize in advance for my bad english and wish you all a very good weekend. :)

Check how many young Evertonians have purchased Season Tickets this year, and at the game make your own mind up, you might be pleasantly surprised..........

Welcome olekja, evertonians make sure that our families are evertonians we don't particularly care about glory hunters. Our time will come again, coyb.

Thanks for your answers and for making me feel welcome. :)

Well, gloryhunters we can do without. I would like Everton to win some silverware this year though, that would be something.  I would love Everton to win the FA Cup and beating LFC in the process..and s*natch the last CL spot in front of them. :)

all my younger siblings are red. i blame the parents.

ive been a blue since the mid 50's when i was a kid. i reckon that EFC have no problem attracting a young fan base because altho LFc havent won the league for over 20 years and they are living on their history even more than we are.

right now we are in the ascendancy and i hope we can keep it up and ensure a great future for out club.

I was born an Evertonian and im 29 now with my own 4 month old Blue boy (who was ofcourse chosen to be blue) I also converted my birds 4 year old to an Evertonian who was led astray by her kopite grandad (who doesnt go the game ofcourse) she now hates all things red but loves blue

I think we have a lot of young support at Goodison who luckily for them are going to grow up watching Everton at there best

ive got 2 young nephews who are mad for their footy, took the eldest to see Everton V Chelsea at goodison earlier in the year as he'd never been to a footy match before and like all his friends at school, is a glory hunter and supports Chelsea (theyre all either Chelsea or Man City fans these days arnt they) thinking this would help him make his mind up and follow the Toffees... despite us beating them he's still a chelsea fan, id feel like a fail of an uncle but his younger brother supports the blues.

took the wrong nephew to the game ffs.
