    I think if it will help in anyway it's point two, the training of coaches etc.

    I played football from when i was about 6 to 28 for my school, local pub teams as a kid and adult i even represented Bootle boys who always had a good team but never could i pin point one coach who knew what he was doing, training was 5-a-side and running that was about it, pub teams once you are over 18 is not much more than a kick about and pint. Playing for Bootle we did do some one/two touch circle work but never game strategy etc

    It is vitally important that coaches are taught well at grass roots level, only then will the technical ability of our youngsters stack up against the rest of the world.

    i think the game is more professional today. the managers and staff are all well qualified and very experienced.
