Sky were just saying he'll miss the QPR and Liverpool games, but I wouldn't panic just yet.

No worries Gibbo is back for QPR Mirallas can play off Jelavic which will leave their back line for dead, i actually think this works better for us as QPR have a team set up for high balls into the strikers so we will get it down and play now. Coleman on the right with Neville back to full back, simples!

I am not really concerned about the Derby either for this reason but i would have preferred Felli available just to squash Allen and StevieGlaa

couldn't care less that he misses the QPR game...but missing the derby is a kick in the balls (f*cking typical)....really wanted a full strenght team for that game and get some much needed pay back for last season.....

I think he should be ok with luck. it would be a big loss. i'm fed up of losing to that lot.

maybe derby isnt bad game to lose him for. they seem to disrupt form rather than go with it, and they will definitely be thinking in terms of winding him up. be good to know we can play without him too. as long as Gibson is back

    .....................Howard
    Neville....Jagielka...Distin....Baines
    ......................Gibson
    ...Coleman....Osman......Pienaar
    ...............Mirallas
    .........................Jelavic

    No problem!

As long as Gibson is back and nobody else gets injured!

gibson's match fitness mightn't be the best after missing 5 weeks....derby's are quicker more physical games than your regular league game.....

he will be more match fit than Neville has looked hopefully. will be interesting to see if Gerrard can stay back where he has been pretty effective for them or because its us he won't resist trying to do everything on his own like he was at start of season. have to be honest would take a draw now just so our season not disrupted. i hate derbys

We'll have Gibson back to play center mid, push Osman out to the right and play Mirallas behind/ along side Jelavic. Problem solved!

...Except for the fact Neville will still be center mid.

my worry is, Moyes might bring in Gibson in to replace Feli, and leave Neville in midfield too.......nightmare...

not sure how many options we have...defensive midfield badly needs sorting in transfer window but just hoping we get away with it till then. think he may play Neville cos Moyes is convinced we need his experience. any option worries me though. Heitinga looks too erratic to play there and we look lightweight with Osman deeper. liked look of Oviedo but doesn't seem like he can play centrally

We have QPR before the derby. And maybe he'll even be fit for a bit of a run out with the U-21s too!

Yeah for me Gibson has to be able to play against QPR...if he misses that game, i really don't think he can be considered for the derby, just too big a game to gamble with him.....

We have to quit that ****!
It's the exact same size as all other Premier League games and he has to come back in with one of them!

There's also the argument that NOT starting Gibson is the bigger gamble!
