    I'm not sure how old this lass was.....and i ve done some really daft stuff over the years with out thinking......but, im pretty sure, for all the stupid things ive taken, drunk etc, i would have by passed liquid nitrogen.....the name itself sort of tells you it needs to be avoided....thats jsut me though and maybe im looking at it through a little bit wiser eyes these days.....

    drinking liquid nitrogen??..not even the wasters in the gutters would drink that crap..you might find a few in wetherspoons that would though!

    I wonder how many got sold of this drink and why only this girl had a problem. I am no chemist but i suspect she drank the cocktail before the liquid nitrogen warmed/evaporated, a bit like people who get burnt drinking Sambuca before the flame goes out. It is a novelty drink has gone spectacularly wrong for the poor girl, the pain must of been unreal.

    I'm with blue on this one, however I blame the likes of Heston 'beeker' blumenthal (not sure on the spelling) for trying to make it acceptable to use this stuff in food preparation. I've seen sensible scientists using this and they wear big thick leather gloves and massive tongs when they do, why the f**k barkeeps and the like think they should use it is beyond me.

    you must have to pretty thick to drink liquid nitrogen, there's a class in schools, called science, so by the age of 16, everyone should have learnt about liquid nitrogen at some stage. great entertainment to see what liquid nitrogen can do to something like a flower or a banana when you dip them in for a few seconds, but to drink it???????????????

    I don't think the idea is to drink the cocktail until the liquid nitrogen has evaporated in all fairness, i don't think anyone is stupid enough to think it would be safe to actually drink the stuff. Come to think of it i'm surprised she could even get it past her lips, girl must of been hammered!

    i would have drunk it when I was younger... I would have risked the same injury... because I was drunk... relied upon the establishment serving it... and also because I was feckin stupid! many many burns injuries from flaming aftershocks... sambucas etc...

    One I learned in Malia was pretty silly... dip thumb in sambuca... put sambuca in mouth... light thumb.. use thumb to light sambuca in mouth.. forget about ignited thumb... shake frantically... yes... more oxygen to flame the fires... burning thumb... still burning mouth... oops... like i say... feckin stupid... no other word for it... not the bar mans fault.. mine!
