i'll take it all back Tomorrow when she's found under her uncles divan, hopefully.

I'm going on facts & the police have said she was playing with a group of similar aged friends,at dusk, not within eyesight of parents.Go figure.

As far as being to that location. It doesn't matter if she's in any location, look after her properly. We don't get many.

The copper in charge was asked this morning if the bloke arrested had a record. His words were ' he's known to police but we can't go into details '

Another way if saying he's on the register.

I wont take anything back if everything you say is spot on coz all im doing is waiting for the whole thing to end happily and if it does great and let them get on with their lives and discuss what they did or didnt do. Whatever the reasons if it goes wrong i hope you too wont feel any sense of I told you so......

Howie, you said 45 mins ago you wasn't saying anymore.

I'm not trying to score points here.

I'm just stating my opinion on peoples/parents attitudes toward there loved ones.

Reading betwwen the lines, there seems an element of neglect, which should not be ignored.

    As i say,I hope I'm wrong.

    Get home safe,April.

Definitely not a time to be presuming and or blaming parents for whatever has happened to this poor kid. Just hope and pray it turns out ok for all concerned. Have some class.
Let's face it if your kid is not safe on the street at 7pm neither are they at 10am or 2.30pm or any random time you want to pick. So what do you do, wrap your child in cotton wool and sit them on the couch all day while you stand over them biting your nails??
For all you know the poor kid may have been terrified for any number of reasons about being near her home and the parents may not have had any choice in the matter at the time. I've done it as kid around the same age I was terrified to get into our street for hours because a dog that always chased me was hanging around - my mum lamped me for making her so worried saying the dog was an excuse. You just never know with kids...
I think the reason people post up this missing persons information everywhere on the net and in forums is to alert the greatest number of people possible to help in any way they can, not use it as an excuse to kick at the girl's parents who must be going through unimaginable agony and distress. Hang your heads in shame or go start some parenting classes if you are now experts at raising other people's children.

DOMOZ;Couldn't have said it better mate. I used to play out till then when I was a kid (30 odd yrs ago). You cant say 'it was different in those days' because they (peados etc) were still about then, there just wasn't the coverage you get now. Really hope she gets home safe & sound.

I think to say shame on people is a slight exaggeration.

Everyone has opinions like they did with Maddie.

Whether considered right or wrong is a different matter.

Yes , whilst we don't know what happened we should just hope she will be found safe.

However ' the high ground ' can be taken from both sides not just those condemning but those defending their parental skills.

As I say questions will always be asked. Same thing happened with Jamie Bulger. Plenty of people couldn't understand how he was taken if being watched . Plenty understood having been in the same situation themselves where you take your eye off your child for a second and they've wandered off.

Whilst purely speculation if rumours are true then people will ask questions like ' why was a 5 year old child out of sight ? '
' why is a child who we now know has cerebral palsy not being watched even more carefully ? '

Regardless of the answers it won't change a little girl is missing and it's not looking good she will be found alive.

I'm with Howie on this one too. If other children witnessed it, then other children were also out playing at that time unuspervised. Should their parents also be castigated? Or, is it OK that they did it because they were lucky enough to get away with it? How do we know one of those parents wasn't supervising but then got bored and _fucked off inside to watch Emmerdale or to have a _shit? If so, lucky for them they get to hide away instead of sitting infront of a press conference!

I've not blamed them I'm saying there will always be questions when a child goes missing.

whatever your view, hearing the mother yesterday on the radio begging for her daughter's safe return, was a truely sad moment that no mother should ever have to go through....there's one villain here, only one......

    I find it incredible too.

Always someone willing to point a finger. As they, of course, are perfect parents. Or more than likely not parents at all.

If there's someone out there who has never made a mistake or error of judgement whilst raising your children, then I tip my hat to you.

You should be on the telly. Or the author of a best seller.

In the same mould those who can say they've never ' pointed the finger ' should perhaps stop taking the moral high ground.

Well since we're being serious here..... there is no moral high ground to be had.

But these are the questions that need answering.

Why can't kids play in the street anymore? We used to

Why can't women (or men) walk the streets at night? We used to

For some reason now it becomes your fault because there are lunatics out there and we have to adjust our lives accordingly.

I'm not sure if you guys have heard about Jill Meagher. Murdered here in Oz recently. Google.

30,000 people marched to say ......we want to be able to feel safe on our streets.

That is the problem. Not the parenting. Not the guile of those who don't expect to be hurt just doing what normal people do.

Where are these lunatics coming from? And, in the case of Jill Meagher, he shouldn't have even been on the streets. And no doubt in the case of April Jones, we will find something similar.

So maybe we need to look at the justice system.

There is no other way for this to go that kids dead the plod know it why have they got dogs trained for sniffing out dead human flesh if they're searching for somebody alive?

The matter of fact is you don't let 5 year old kids out your sight no matter where you live even more so when a kid has cerebral palsy.
