yes mate. me dad was born in southport and was a season ticket holder for years. everton were the team i grew up supporting, but i live in hartlepool now, and watch them when they're at home and (very) occasionally away. went to cardiff in 2005 when pools got blatantly cheated out of a place in the championship against wednesday.

There was a lot of hype surrounding him as a kid and he hasn't perhaps fulfilled his potential but if he turns out like an osman type player I will still be pleased.

To be fair to him like he did have a very serious double break of his leg so he is a probably a year or so behind in his development so holding down a starting place and getting the faith from the manager to help his team in transition to a higher standard of football shows he is definitely a proper player and not a flash in the pan

Rather see him at a team that lays positive football where he would thrive. When we were sending him on loan, i had my fingers crossed for somewhere like Blackpool. I reckond he's do well there.

i think Moyes wants him to learn to be a more disciplined footballer first.......learn that when you can't always be trying flashy things on the ball, or pinging long passes around the pitch........he has to learn to be a team player, he has to learn that silly mistakes cost you games, and has to develop a more rounded attitude to his game, i.e. defensive responsiblity, and team tactics in general.......

look at Coleman when he came back from Blackpool....sure he had the confidence to attack down the wing, but he couldn't defend for shlt.....and his positioning at right back was clueless....

i did. some owls said it was a bad team performance and individuals shouldnt be singled out. but we dont want him demoralised. if they are giving him a hard time we should get him out. altho i have a feeling its only a months loan anyway!

nope, let him stay while he is getting games. I will be interested to see how he does when he is ten games in, think we may begin to see what Moyes and Jones are seeing in training, the lad obviously has talent

BBC: " Everton's Ross Barkley extends Sheffield Wednesday loan

Sheffield Wednesday have agreed a loan extension with Everton for 18-year-old midfielder Ross Barkley, BBC Radio Sheffield reports.

Barkley has made seven appearances for the Owls since joining them on an initial one-month loan.

And the England Under-21 international scored his first senior goal in last month's 2-1 defeat by Bolton.

He is now set to stay at Hillsborough on a week-to-week basis, which is allowed under a youth loan arrangement."
