CEO: Interim Board 'Unnessacary'

    Blue Union's suggestion is 'risible'

In fairness, I've certainly found it to be.

That said, I'm glad they changed the picture of the CEO they first ran with. He looked strained, worn and paniced. In complete contrast to his statement and his jibe.

It was just a horrid, horrid picture. But then, that is the sort of people we have marketing Everton day to day on our own website (not the club, just its image on our own website).

I just find it telling, given the situation, given the position and the pressure. That those handling the simple things are so poor at their jobs. It was obvious from the moment you saw it that it needed to be changed.

But it does go to show that out side of the board (unpaid), the CEO, Moyes and the playing staff... there really is no money for anyone else.

And as far as staff outside of that core are concerned. Peanuts get you monkeys.

I think in this instance, the club has done the right thing, they have let most of the dust settle with regars what the BU have to say, assessed it, and then made a statement. Done reasonably professionally in this instance imo.

I agree that coming out and calling this gaggle of **** 'risible' is the sensible thing to do. But I was speaking about the picture they first used. It will have been signed off, given its important, by the most senior web/press person at Everton... it was clearly a very poor image from the start and has been replace.

But in terms of communications skills on a key issue. It underlines the quality of person Everton have in the position.

The only reason they dont want an interim board is because they may lose money if any takeover went through.

Look at the RS, all debts paid off, and funds delivered as promised.  the only ones that lost out were hicks and gillet.

If a similar situation was promised here, BK would immediately say no, and this right here is/has been the problem.

the owners clearly want to make as much as they can, if they didnt the club would of been sold a long time ago.

What difference would an interim board make though? We would still be in the same situation, we already have a board that want to sell the club. We all want Kenwright to sell the club to someone but an interim board would be pointless.

I thought the Blue Onion wanted the CEO to do his job?

Can we just get the facts straight about the sale of the club too?  It's only when the bank are about to ruin us that we can get a sale like the RS.  Remember how close to administration they came?  You want that?

No true Blue would wish The Peoples Club to sell their soul like Liverpool, United, City, Chelsea and a number of other clubs,. We all have to accept that untill UEFA/FIFA finally enforce an equal playing field a club like ours that is run by a true supporter of the club will not have the cash to compete. Those of you who wish for short term gain should take a walk across the park, tyhe rest of us should get behind David Moyes and the blue boys and give them all the support we can to get us through what will be a difficult season.

There will come a day when a club like ours will be able to compte whilst the aforementioned clubs will be left to struggle when the overseas mega rich decide that they no longer wish to play with their English football toy.

Lets look upon a top half finish as a good season.

The straws that our so-called " Guardians " are clinging to are beginning to break , one by one ........ tick tock .... the clock's running down .... tick tock ......... and we may get the owner we want and deserve . .... I've been a loyal Everton fan for over 40 years and I'm skint ....does that make me Chairman ?
