Posts: 19,472September 2012 Despite being relatively miniscule compared to the US of A... regional differences in the UK are often marked... with different cultural traditions, accents and even dialects (perhaps none moreso than the scouse accent which differs greatly from towns mere miles away)...
Cultural differences can be seen in the musical and comedic input that cities such as Liverpool have contributed.
We have scousers (liverpool)/mancs (manchester)/geordies (newcastle)/cocknies (london) to name but a few (honourable mention for yorkshire - i'm willing to bet none of you would understand sam)...
Just putting that out there to help you understand this little island...
