Leeds is in West Yorkshire.
Sheffield is in South Yorkshire.
They're different police forces.

And all Merseyside Police, one force? Notts Police are about as close, and responsible as West Yorks police.
The senior policeman issue above? Tenuous, but if I was berated by gangs of people in the street for my CEO being a dick at a previous company, I wouldn't think it fiar.
AndyForsyth said:Surely you don't condone the Police actions though, turning the batons on people for singing it? And, as I've also read from someone who was there last night, telling Everton fans to stop chanting JFT96? Normally, I wouldn't condone such behaviour from fans, but I think seeing as they had a good reason for doing it, I applaud our fans for standing up for our neighbours in their quest. Don't get me wrong, I'd never be a red (shoot me if that ever happened) but this is a worthy cause that the whole (or majority) of Merseyside is fighting for.

It seems clear that they were trying to incite a response from the police and have brought the name of Everton into disrepute. Okay, members of the Yorkshire Police were guilty of mistakes and serious wrongdoing by trying to shift the blame, but that's a long time ago and, to be honest, I think true "justice" was the last thing on these guys' minds. Any reasonable effort from the police would no doubt have met with "mob rule" violence from this bunch of morons.
I don't often use terms like these, but I love our club and feel that our reputation has been damaged by these guys.
The team's performance was bad enough, but this has made a bad night even worse!

NSNO said:and it wasn’t just singing, its aggressive too, they’re getting right into the face of the police and angerly insulting them…..so if a few policeman thought it was necessary to use a baton, then good luck to them, it was probably justified…….
grown men acting like idiots....

AndyForsyth said:To be honest, watching that video again, I'm still trying to see where the 'aggression' was from the fans...... And yes, someone will say, well where was it from the Police, but the fact is, there have been complaints from a number of Blues over the heavy-handedness from Police just because of a few words chanted towards them...... Nothing about EFC fans causing trouble.... From anywhere.... I know there's a Leeds fan lurking around the site, so wonder if he/she wants to give their side of the story?? If you were there that is.
