Or, can people with much more experience of football please try and summarise the issues and the game, please.I didn't think it unreasonable.
I am quite opposed to a lot of the USA's actions, though I find the people a very mixed bag. However, I am leaping to the defence of a nation I usually disagree with because you're being such a tit about it!
You're Richard Dawkins in disguise.
As for what happened, we started Francisco Junior, who was far too lightweight against a determined Leeds side, Guaye, who did pretty much nothing, Oviedo in place of baines, who wasn't as good as Baines (obviously), Mucha, who whilst not at fault for either goal, is ropey.
Leeds were faster into the tackle, beat some players with ease. There was a gaping chasm between Heitinga at right centre defence and Coleman at right back, I think down to the latter's positioning.
Fellaini defended woefully, and for the first half was more deep lying.
Again our central defence pairing looked wobbly.
Naismith was utterly gash.
Second half was an improvement, mainly due to the introduction of Pienaar. Neville replaced Junior, and Fellaini pushed forwards. Anichebe had presentable chances to do things, but didn't, with the exception of a great cross to Naismith, unmarked at the back post, who missed with a header by some distance. He remained gash.
Our passing wasn't crisp, the positions had been changed, it was meant to be more a 4-4-2 I think, but nobody seemed to know where they were, or more importantly the other players were.
Mirallas didn't do much all game. I think he was playing up front.
Leeds weren't great, but they were better than us.
AndyForsyth said:The defending could have been better for the goals, and the first goal was a beast, but Mucha just doesn't have the confidence that Howard does. We need a new back-up Keeper. Shame that we missed out on Boruc.
