Team For Elland Road!

Everty time I hear the words "Elland Road", I still hear that commentary in my head "Left side of the penalty area, Amokachi is unmarked, is this 4?? IT IS 4!!"

Anyway will Moyes go all out picking a full strength team or will he rest some?

I'd expect to see Distin come back in and I feel Neville will be rested for this one (getting too old now to be playing 3 games in a week)

    Hoping Moyes doesn't "rest" Howard!

yep agreed with this, i think he will rest Pienaar and give Oviedo a start or at least Marvin Gueye

good news about jelavic though i doubt he will risk him, its meant to rain none stop till about 9pm tomorrow... last thing he needs is losing his footing on a slidy pitch and doing more damage

the old adage of "never change a wining team" is long gone in these squqd days, but i'd change as little as possible.
Howard to stay as you say, Coleman gaining more experience at RB, Johhny to stay (Distin or Jags to partner), Baines
Neville rested, in coming Oveida or Junior, Naismith, piernar, Osman, Victor.
Not sure on Mirallas to be rested or not
Would like Guyeere to get time off the bench as well (30 mins if possible)

Confidence brings wins, winning brings confidence. Must be an all out go for the win to keep momentum and confidence as high as possible

speaking of confidence i think it will be nailed on Big Vic will get more time up front to try and stick another goal or two away

i'd like to see Baines given a rest.............we have the option of playing Oviedo there now, so i think its important to not overplay Baines like Moyes has done in the past 2 seasons....

im all for it, only thing i wonder... bringing competition in to the team is generally seen as a good thing.. to make players try harder, know they can't take it easy or they could get dropped.. but i reckon some players could lose confidence and doubt themselves and ive always wondered if that could ever be a problem with Baines.. that he's almost played better because of the confidence he's got knowing he won't get dropped.
I'm probably talking b*llocks like.. im prone to that on days that end in a Y ;)

confidence certainly is a big thing with Baines,,,,,and he's got plenty of it now........its along season though, and the biggest games will be in April and hopefully May.....so whenever Moyes get an opportunity to leave Baines out and keep him fresh i think its important he does so......

If Hibbert is fit, I'd play him ahead of Coleman at right back. I still don't know whether to trust Coleman at the back or not and El Hadji Diouf is certainly Leeds' most dangerous player and if you're Leeds manager and you see Coleman playing at right back, I think you're gonna put him attacking Coleman.

I think Jelavic will get 20\25 minutes. Vic to start!

Some players will probably be rested but it should be quite a strong team. I just hope we don't underestimate Leeds because they will give us more of a game than Swansea have us on Saturday.

Can see Coleman at RB again Maybe Baines will be rested for Oviedo.

Think Anichebe will start once more with Mirallas.

                 Mucha

    Coleman Distin Heintinga Oviedo

    Naimsith Osman Fellaini Gueye

                Mirallas
                       Anichebe

Well theres really only 3 fit and ready choices for central mid and with Neville not being the youngest i wouldn't expect him to play ahead of anyone else

I'd bet on Vellios, Coleman, Magaye being involved tomorrow. And definetely excited if Oviedo will start.

It's a good chance to Francisco as well, what was his position again? I remember Fellaini early on in the cups last season, so it's highly possible he's involved tomorrow.

Any thoughts on McAleny? I would like to see him as well.

Mark Lawrenson slagged off our bench as weak against Swansea, but looking at it, it was full off U21 internatioals Duffy, Guyere, Vellios, Oveido, and Distin, Mucha, Naismith. Strong bench I would have said, comparable to any in the expected top 6.
Manu had Powell (Crewe last season) and Buttner (unheard of) on their bench last week and no-one said weak bench
