Is our club in decline

    We improved league wise last year.

    We have drastically reduced our debt

    We have reduced our outgoings.

    To me this appears to be the actions of a club/business aiming to improve financially without harming the team significantly.

    We have lost 1 player a season recently and every time people say we won't cope yet we do.

    what ever happens at the club mate, there will always be people moaning, its just a way of life for some people, you cant please all!

    Not really buying the positive in lowering the wage bill and reducing the debt.

    As far as I can work out we've made room on the wage bill for new players in jan... and have replaced Beckford and Pienaar with Denis and Drenthe (lets hope he's good and stays).

    The Pienaar money and the Beckford money will have kept the bank happy.

    We need to replace Yakubu (the one we bought!) and Arteta with the money from Sky which comes in just after the window shut and the cash from Arteta.

    If fellaini doesn't sign a new contract... I can see us selling him for great money, keeping Rodwell and Barkley and spending very good money indeed on a first choice striker and a creative midfielder too. Plus replacing Yobo too.


    All in all, much as I'd prefer to keep Fellaini, its really not looking all that bad* to me.












    *assuming we aren't ****, Denis can't hit a barndoor, and we get dicked for the next 10 games.

    I think you're understanding of the term 'quite happily' is different from most peoples.


    To be fair, we could do with one striker who ist fit and is premier league standard. To be fair, we have some kids and Denis on that front. And a lot of crossed fingers,

    were a sleeping giant, and have been for 25 yrs, we need investment, a bit of luck, and most of all, a trophy or 2 to keep the fans happy, easier said than done, its going to be a tough few years, until we sort them issues, get use to the idea that the rs will win the league in the next couple of years, and other countless trophys, so in our case, if things dont change, they will have to stay as they are, or get worse.

    Holy, Charlie Caroli, your a happy chappy arent you. Glad i dont sit next to you in the ground mate. If it makes you feel better, the Rs wont win any league soon let alone get 4th place. So they wont get the millions from Europe, will have an unsustainable wage bill, sell most of the players , go into administration, be docked 30 points by the Prem, automatic relegation, and Dogleash, will be replaced by caretaker manager Ian Dowie.

    I don't think we are in decline yet and I strongly believed that we are right at the peak and slightly heavier on the falling side. Any mistakes now, we are going downhill but with the rite strategy on the board of directors side we will be up cause we have a fairly good team and a good manager.

    He's the only one who mods this place as far as I know, you never see any other mods.
