.......was all wrong, this is why he couldn't give it his angles were wrong and probably obscured by the corner flag, idiot.

    Angles all wrong?
The picture shows him right on the line, surely thats the best position.
Where should he be? Before the line? After the line?

The whole ball crossed the line by a fraction of an inch for a fraction of a second, and everybody expects the linesman to see it, through players and the goal post from about 30 yards?

I don't blame him for the offside neither, again another tough call but what you going to do?

Yes his angle is wrong, he's not in line he's before the line thus creating an acute angle blocking his line of sight, and he is still in motion trying to get beyond the flag and the flag is obscuring his view at that point, maybe we shouldn't have short arsed linesmen

There were no players in the way, of course he's expected to see it, it's is ****-job!

Offside was a tough one given the two players moved in the opposite direction so the gap looked improbable when it arrived a Fellaini but what happened to the benefit of doubt going with the attacker?

to be honest the referee knew it was a goal as did everyone in the ground, why do you think the referee blew up for a free kick when newcastle had 3 on one on the break after that incident, i hate gary neville but he was spot on, he said the ref knew something wasnt right and made sure newcastle never broke away and scored , there no such thing as gut feeling now in football the refs just stick to letter of the law and left it upto the linesman to make the decision and get the criticism. the ref is as much to blame as the linesman.

If he knew it was a goal, he would have given it, he has the final say, so I dont think he knew it was a goal, he thought it might be a goal; thats why he stopped the play, because of his doubt......

because the usual shithouse ref he probably wasnt 100% sure but his gut reaction said goal but took easy option and let the linesman take all the flak, why did he actually stop that breakaway and not play advantage they had 3 clean through on goal and no reason not to play on at all, he gave foul to take easy way out.

Let's remember at seasons end that our true position is at least two points higher.

had we won the game, we'd have gone 3rd......funny how strange things always seem to happen to us when we challenge the top 4 or qualify for Europe.......either its corruption, or there's some weird voodoo curse on our club.....

Seems to me that everytime we do well we get no decisions. They don't want a poor team like us gate crashing the party.

Howdy, Stranger!
