We are currently 2pts better off than Last Season, AND IF we beat Aston Villa on Saturday we'd be 4pts better off than from same League Fixtures last season.

    I agree
Just to add to the positive side!

we have signed an exciting pacey left winger (something we have needed for a long time in my opinion) and a striker of some potential.

I know they are currently only here on loan but alot of our players joined us on loan (arteta and piennar both joined on loans initially)

Drenthe himself has already said he is hoping things go well and that he will be trying to earn a long term contract and thats a good start and Straqualursi has also said he wants to prove himself and be successful here!

Although Arteta has gone lets be honest he didnt like playing on the wing and hasnt been at his best since his long injury lay off-in particular his free kicks and corners havent been upto scratch and i think overall our transfer business has gone quite well (although would have liked to keep arteta and play him in the middle)
I dont think Beckford is a great loss-although i wish him and mikky well at their new clubs.
I do think we still need a striker who can put the ball in the net on a regualar basis but maybe we have just signed him on loan so lets wait and see!
I think Bainsey can handle the free kicks and corners etc and once we have people fit i think our squad safe enough for top 10 and if the new signings go well we could challenge for europa league places.
Would be great if we hear Fellaini has signed his new deal as i think it would give us all a bit of a lift after all the doom and gloom around the place recently!

if we're all honest the Stracqualursi signing is our club throwing up a Hail Mary......the beckford signing unsurprisingly didn't work out (like the Jo signing before that), so now were crossing our fingers again on someone none of us ever heard of before. And by the way, you know other clubs will keep an eye on him to see if he's any good....and if he is a good player in the Prem league, he'll prob end up signing for someone else next year.....

Yes it is a new player at a new club and a bit of a gamble.
If you want a proven 20 goals a season striker you have to pay £50 million and sign torres-who then moves to a new club and proves he is a total waste of space--so nothing is guaranteed!!!!!
Stracqualursi was the top scorer in his league with a club the equivalent of Norwich/swansea/qpr if 1 of their strikers finishes top scorer in the prem this season how long do u think it will take before he is sold to a bigger club?
So how about giving the guy a chance?
I am sure if he does well then he will be easily persuaded to sign a new deal to stay at everton just like arteta and piennar did after they joined us on loan deals-there is possibly already an option agreement in place for all we know.
and yes ur right Jo turned out to be useless but he cost City £17 million and us nothing--sounds like we got a good deal out of that.
So why dont the fans on here give moyes a break and support the team and stop whinning and see how 2 new potentially exciting players work out for us!!!!!

You missed the tone of my post completely mate......

Firstly, i've never criticised Moyes....I've said many times on here that David Moyes is one of the best things thats ever happened to this club, without him i really feel we'd have been relegated by now ( or certainly regular relegation fighters).

Secondly..on the Quality of Stracqualursi...I never said he was crap....I said if we're all honest none of us know anything about him, so to assume he's a an exciting signing is silly. All we can do is wait & hope Moyes has pulled another one out of the hat......but with strikers, its alot harder to find a gem on the cheap (like he did with arteta & pienaar & and others)......
