The truth is finally out, the blame lies at the door of the police, the ambulance service, Hillsbourough stadium, the sheffield newsagency and the scum newspaper

God Bless all the 96 and there families

Don't see why it's the ambulance service fault when they weren't allowed into the ground.

This bit - The report states that some individuals who died at Hillsborough could
have had reservable asphyxia. It says it is highly likely what happened
after 15:15 BST was "significant in determining how they died"
is going to cause some trouble.

In effect they are saying 28 fans may have lived if resuscitation had continued? Blue32, you're a paramedic aren't you, is there any truth in this? Or were those ambulance people in the ground too overwhelmed with the scale of the tragedy to realistically have saved them anyway?

I'm a nurse mate. Yes it's true but from what i remember ambulance crew getting into the crowd were blocked. There was only one on the pitch.
They were being told it was a riot
The fire service weren't being allowed in to take the fencing down.

So whilst it's true an ambulance has a 2 man crew and can you imagine what's happening with regards to the carnage and friends , family members dragging them to help.

Shame on the police putting the blame on them as well.

David Cameron: ""The inquiry did not properly examine the response of the emergency services."

PM says new report reveals shortcomings in emergency service response and families were right o suspect a police cover up

Cameron: "Rescue attempts were held back by failures of leadership and coordination."

It was revealed that not only did police change 164 statements but Ambulance service changed thier statements to

Any statements changed by the ambulance services will be made by higher up in cahoots with the coroner who stated they were all dead before 3.15

Her and the ambulance service hierarchy should be chastised.

Not the paramedics who weren't allowed in or the few on the pitch.

I think we need to read the official findings.

    And then make our decision.

And then probably rue the justice system in this country.

Yeah, im not saying it was the paramedics fault, my mas a nurse to so I know that theyd be wanting to do what they could, there was obviously a delay in contacting the ambulance service and them getting in, I agree it is the heirarchy who are to blame and not the ones who where trying to do a job so to speak

Obviously I wasn't there so I'll never know.

Either was it was tragedy that could have prevented or that very least lessened with loss of life.,

at the risk of sounding ignorant - what is Cameron apologising for? on behalf of the old Tory government in charge at the time for not looking into it properly then and there?
Surely people would prefer to hear Cameron demanding apologies from the South Yorkshire police, and the gob$h|tes at The S*n?

I think Cameron is apologising to the relatives for the length of time it has taken for these facts to come out and for the altering of the statements made by the police - he is doing so as head of Government, not as a Tory (if that makes sense).

I personally hope Kelvin McKenzie is $hitting bricks wherever he is at the moment, and that he apologises personally for his involvement in the story printed by the S*n.

In all fairness, over the years they have tried apologizing numerous times but its not been accepted.

if i remember correctly the biggest contributing issue here was the original allocation..

liverpool go the leppings lane end (the south end of the ground) while forst got the bigger kop end (the north end of the groud)

effectively the "smaller" fan base got the bigger end of the ground whilst having to enter the ground at the "opposite" end to where they arrived from...ie nottingham is south of sheffield whilst liverpool fans would have effectively arrived form the north...this is what according to friends who were their stated started the crowd congestion and in order to segregate crossing fans and in an attempt to eliminate trouble the police did what they did...

any blame going the FA's way ?

I think blame will go to them to,Cameron says that In the report it mentions that ground safety failed at every level and this was known days before the match went ahead, the match should have been moved to another ground or something

You being serious?? Seriously Luke, you must know how they decided which end each set of fans were in? Why should they have changed how they decided this just for one game?? You have to be taking the pi$$ surely??

no not at all...sambo..if you know how hillsborough is situated you know that the kop end is the open bigger end and to all intents and purposes is the "north end" of the ground...leppings lane at that time was a "segregated" area ie broken up into areas and segragated by barriers....and at the "south end" of the ground...

fromaccounts told to me at the time by friends who were there the fansd were "mixing" whilst "crossing" each other, there were some scuffles but nowt serious apparently..the police tried to segregate the 2 sets of fans to stop the congestion on the main A61 as it got narer kick off, it became even more congested as more and more fans (both sets) wee arriving...

I wasn't there... but this is an account my friend repeats even to this day...
