Rich clubs will always find loop holes were they can balance the books like massive sponsorship deals and so on.

I don't know why United and their fans think they never "buy" the title like other clubs. Each year they spend above most clubs with tens of millions on players. But they back this up with the fact they're one of the richest clubs in the world with all the merchandise crap they sell they sell to their "fans". You know the ones that have never been to a match,  hardly know the clubs history, or actually never watch or follow the team at all! Out of all my mates that follow them I consider one to be an actual fan. Take away all their gloryhunters and clueless fans and they'd be struggling big time!  Sorry I really don't like United, especially that **** Ferguson

After years of abuse as a lonely Everton fan in the schoolyard and at my local football club surrounded by red jerseys, I finally gained respect for not being a glory hunter. Still get an unholy amount of stick though whenever were ****. And that's a fair amount of the time! TV3 should do a documentary on me and my struggles!

I thought financial fair play rules were imminent anyway. Does the article in the above link refer to some other, supplementary proposals?

I agree with the idea that clubs will use under-the-counter methods to dodge the restrictions. Therefore, the rules will favour the more underhand operations. The facilitators of this subterfuge will profit, at the expense of the sport- they will, ultimately, pocket the fans' money. Clubs which have already established a high income (manure, rs, Arsenal) will become more difficult to challenge, if the money required to invest in a stronger team cannot be used easily. Clubs other than that elite few- that includes Everton- will become shackled somewhat. It will make us less attractive to potential investors. I don't like these simplistic blocks on free trade. They tend to help the cheats.

    I wondered that too

The FFP rules do not count money invested by a club on their academy or infrastructure. Perhaps this takes EVERYTHING into account.

Yah, they just paid £24m for RVP, who had a year left on his contract. If he had five years that would be £100m+. Screw them, bloody hypocrites.
