if we are to put our trust in Kenright and
the board this question must be asked...if they are doing a good job
WHY DOES'NT THE BANK TRUST THEM....Why is the bank intent on taking all
the money the club makes...we have serious moneymen on our board and yet
the banks still DON'T TRUST THE BOARD.there are at least six other clubs
with a lot more debt than us and THEIR BANKS are not harassing
them...in fact they all seem to be able to get the money to buy
players!!!!!That is what worries me as an Evertonian of 60
years....somethink is rotten at our Everton...and we need to find out
    what it is....quickly....

I think that the fact our debt has only risen over the years has a part to play in why they want their money back, but I wouldn't go as far as saying they don't trust us.

Welcome to the forum by the way.

The majority of clubs have really cut back their spending since the financial crash. The majority of clubs who have spent money have done it by selling players, Sunderland sold Bent and Henderson, Liverpool have sold Torres, Meireles etc, Tottenham sold Berbatov etc etc. The only exceptions are obvious apart from Stoke but I remember reading that their debt was a nominal amount so can afford to spend money on players.

that is the most worrying thing that has been said in this whole sorry saga ,what about next season and the season after.

looking on the bright side maybe paying the banks is a ploy for when uefa employ their financial fair play rules ,and every other club goes to the wall and we get a sneeky entry into europe for finishing just above the relegation ,and then when they introduce stricter homegrown player rules we'll be ok because we'll of sold all our best players and will have our youth side playing........sorry its been a slow afternoon.

Not only did we just clear a massive amount of debt, but we cleared a vast amount of wages, to the point we probably make a profit without even selling a player come the end of the year. Don't worry about it. It was a concern, now its not.
