With Arteta Gone......

We now have the potential of a midfield trio of Felli, Barkley and Rodwell - An average age of less than 20 years old and each possesing different attributes that they will bring to our team from defensive tackling to passing to attacking prowess.

Now I know that it is ownly potential right now - Felli is there if he stays injury free, Barkley looks like he's been part of that midfield for a lot more than 2 games and Rodwell, well this I feel will be his defining season.

Are we potentially (and I do stress potentially) looking at our best midfield 3 since the Holy Trinity especially given that they have youth on their side to grow together and learn one anothers game.

Could we be looking at the New Trinity?

I now welcome the neg-heads to come on and start talking about how Felli won't sing a contract and that we're a sellling club now blah blah blah.

no, because felliani will be gone within a year if things not changed financially, and barkley will be at man utd within 2 years if as good as he looks, that leaves rodwell hopefully he can step up this season.

if fellaini still hasnt signed a contract by the january transfer window, the surely he has to be sold.  that will have been 9 months since the contract negotiations started ffs

rodwell, no more excuses for this lad, he will get enough time this season to get an extened run in the team, if he still doesent produce, their goes any big money we can expect for him,

and as for barkley, moyes said he wont play every game as he doesent want to rush him in.  technically very good, but lets see hoe he actualy turns out first.

Many people made that mistake on rodwell, saying he will be gone to united for 30m within a few seasons.  "future england captain" and all that

    I'm hopeful mate,

but I too am realistic - However with so much negativity going about I'm just trying to throw some positivity out there.

It's getting to the stage where you keep reading negative comments that you say to yourself "whats the point in even supporting Everton anymore?"

    Agree Tickets,

Its a hypothesis very much based on ifs and buts - I do think that those 3 players have great potentially to be a fantastic midfield.

However as you say this is very much a make or break season for Rodwell and we need to get Felli tied into a longer dea, if anything to keep his value high if he demands a move in a year or so.

just because im realistic regarding certain things it doesnt mean i should stop supporting everton, theres even more point now, we need to get behind the team more so than ever.

But thats the thing with fellaini if you rate him now at around 20m  (has to be at least 15m as thats what we paid for him and extra 5m for improvement since he has been here).

then for every months he doesent sign we lose nearly 1m off his transfer value every month.  by january he is worth 15m, the summer 10m, next january he can sign a pre contract with european clubs (which is very likley as I cant see him being in any of the midfields in the top7 as he isnt mobile enough)

Why is it Billy never gets a mention when it comes to midfielders. He was excellent in the pre season when put in the middle. It's about time we started playing people to their strenghts. How much did Billy cost? around 8 million was it. Lot of money for a sub.

So you personally rate FElli at 20mill yet believe he isn't good enough for a top 7 team

Your credibility is at an all time low

Bily is not good enough, simple as. He is better in the middle but he is far too inconsistent.

Now I dont rate him at 20m.  far less, But thats what the club would rate him at.  i said if YOU rate him as.

I could of said 10m but then people would of said 10m no way we paid 15m to start with and moyes would never sell him so low anyway, even with 12months remaining as he proved with pienaar, hence I said 20m to keep people happy.

I cant believe I actually had to spell it out for you

and my credibilty dont make me laugh milky, You a mod on the everton forum, and talk about everything apart from football.  a mod probably for the freebies and a little power, and a new forum thats worse then the old one, congratulations.

Billy's one of the few players on the squad who can finish.  He needs to play more.
