    I'm certainly Miss the World Cup Finals AND Euro Finals, even the Continmental Finals. Makes me laugh when people say theirs too much Football.....................most players are out more than on their Holidays & Breaks etc and then they Tour in the Summer.

    I am a Wayne Rooney Fan for England, and even Ian Rush when he played for Wales.

    The problem here is that if you are English and live in England, all the England players who are selected for the team play for other Premier League clubs, and are rivals and you hate them. What Everton supporter is going to root for Steven Gerrard?
    But in a lot of countries (USA included), the players who are good enough to play on the national team are not playing domestically, they're ovserseas, so no problem.
    I think most of the world likes international football, but English fans are uniquely situated, with England home to one of the world's top leagues, to prefer club football over international.

    When Rooney, Gerrard etc play for England i just see them as England players Full Stop. And besides Wayne Rooney is an Evertonian playing for England?

    I'd miss international football!
    I hate June in the odd numbered years when there's no tournament on!
    Take it away every year, I'd be gutted!
    Plus, as someone said, it's really the only thing left in decent level pro football that is not about who has got the fattest chequebook!
