Not that I am on commission, but here's an angle on that from... the Graun:
Dempsey would be a great signing for Villa and exactly what they need but I'd be amazed if it happens. Kind of works in Fulham's and Villa's interest for it to be public knowledge. Fulham can use it to flush out Liverpool, which is where Dempsey wants to go, while Villa will hope that it prompts Genk to be more reasonable over the transfer of Christian Benteke. Villa and Genk remain miles apart in terms of their respective valuations.

Why?? In all fairness mate, who wants to play for Villa at the moment in time....if he cant get the players what is he supposed to do? Definitely will not be sacked by xmas imo..... -

I dont disagree about the difficulty of getting players to sign... although I think he could have managed to compete for the likes of adam... I don't think its about him not bein a good manager but the difficulty of fan expectations and the reality of their performances... I think they will be in relegation fight and with fan pressure I can see Randy pushing the button...
