    I am quite a bit surprised by Manchester United's transfers this summer, or rather lack of transfer. I can't understand why they have not bought a midfielder of class? Last season Scholes came back and saved them. He is now 37 and I don't think they can count on him all season. They do have some good midfielder but not really anyone that can replace him or take his role in the center. Having seen Gibson played for us I think he could have taken that role, but I guess he was not deemed good enough. Instead they bought Van Persie for 24 million. That means that there can be some truth in that there is an issue between Ferguson and Rooney and that he might be sold. If that is true I think Man U will have a difficult season ahead of them.

    Kagawa, looks a good buy for them mate, as out played as they were at our gaff he still looked a good midfielder. I agree that they will struggle a bit if they don't get Ferdinand back or even the young lad Jones or Smalling but the thing is United are almost gifted 60 points a season by the lesser clubs just rolling over. Fulham should of had enough to beat them at the weekend but going into the game Jol is talking about being wary of the wounded animal instead of saying it's a great time to play United they have no fully fit centre backs (and Carrick can't defend, in his head like) but no he still didn't want to play them.

    It's how they always end up there or there about's each season without looking like a quality team they have been in the past.
