its the norm, with these billionaires, they would bring in a high profile manager, from the continent probally.

Man I hope he stays, I think we will find it hard to convince him, perhaps the same wage would do it, I don't know but we need to do everything we can. He more than earns that money.

    The Barcelona manager seems okay.

the Barcelona manager has the best set of players any club has had in my lifetime, it does make it a bit easier.

However, he obviously has to have good man management skills to keep them all grounded and they all seem to have a good rapport, so he obviously is doing a good job with them before it seems like im picking holes in him!

good point sambo, who knows??? if he leaves the next person might know what to do with strikers instead of selling them..  He might even learn the team how to attack and score goals.

KM, we all say that players come and go, and that none of them and irreplaceable, so why should this be any different about a manager?? I agree with what you say about teaching the team to attack and score goals, Moyes is doing a great job, but he certainly isnt perfect, but then again, none of us are i suppose!

Man Utd - Sir purple nose is gonna live to the age of the Queen Mother and will still be in the dugout when he croakes it! I do think they'd want someone with a proven European record anyway.

Chelsea - Ruthless club who feel the need to sack a manager every couple of years to their own detriment IMO (Anchelotti was the best manager they'll ever have). The lack of European experience comes into play here too and I think they will always go for managers who have managed a big continental club or made some impact in Europe.

Man City - When a club can afford any manager on Earth and pay him a million a week to get him if they have to, they won't be looking at Moyes.

Arsenal - I think Wegner could go in the next couple of years but it's the European experience thing again! Always likely to go for a contiunental manager.

Liverpool - I don't think Moyes would go there!

Spurs - It's a bit of a myth that they spend a lot of money! They've spent virtually nothing this Summer despite taking in 20 odd Million pounds for Crouch, Keane, O'Hara, Hutton after spending about £20 Million in 2010. They're about to start redeveloping WHL and I'm told by Spurs supporters that they don't expect to be spending anything significant for a few years while that's happening! I believe Spurs would be interested in Moyes - but BEFORE his contract here ends in 2012 and I'm not sure the job he'd be doing there would give him any better chance of success than here in the short/medium term!

Everyone else: No different, mostly worse off than here! ATM!

He will have many options. its not just about the top teams in england.

theres international jobs, celtic job is his whenever he wants it, or even managing a team in la liga or germany.

its not just a case of "lets wait until one of the top7 job comes up".

I think he should go for an international job, that way he could really improve on his tactical awareness.  Money wouldnt be a problem as he could pick any player from the country.

No chance moyes will stay here, the team will start to deteriorate  within the next 2 seasons and when he leaves, there wont be much for the new manager to work with.

Maybe Germany or somewhere - I can't see him being interested in Celtic (Owen Coyle has shown that even Burnley and Bolton are more attractive than them) and international football to me is really seen by most managers as a job for the twilight of the career. As for the team deteriorating - that's what you said last year!

    Really,

many of the international managers are very young trying to make a name for themselves.

Lothar Matthäus, Slaven Bilić, Mixu Paatelainen, Cesare Prandelli, Laurent Blanc, Paulo Bento,  among many others.

In football, in order to get the good jobs, you have to win things (look at chelsea manager), and with everton not in europe, what moyes can acheive here under the current circumstances, is virtually nothing.

Exactly - trying to make a name for themselves as managers!
Moyes has already made a name for himself!

    no he hasnt!

    he hasnt won anything.

this is why I was saying, celtic job would be good for a start, win the SPL, and a few other trophies, so he gets the taste of what it feels like to win on a regular basis, and maybe even a few good runs in the champions league.

then move onto international football, see how far he can take a team in the euros or world cup.  and THEN he will have europes elite willing to take a chance on him.

we arent even in europe enymore ffs, losing players by the transfer window, and any money we are making goes straight to the bank.  and not even close to being in the top5.

Yes he has made a name for himself - to the point where he is reguarded by most as one of the best managers in the PL and many even tip him as the next Man Utd manager! Where have you been sleeping!

Your point doesn't even make sense. On one hand you're saying a manager needs to win something to make a name for himself and on the other you are saying Bilic for example took the Croatia job to make a name for himself. You must have been expecting Croatia to win one of Euro 2008/2012 or the 2010/2014 World Cup then! Then you say teams in countries like Germany will be ALREADY interested in Moyes! As usual, struggling to form your own opinion Tickets!

I also think I'll trust the judgement of someone like Owen Coyle about the value of the Celtic job more than yours!
