Should never be allowed manage again if Belgium fail to qualify for the World Cup in Rio. Belgium have an embarrassment of talent in their national side. It would be a shock if they yet again fail to qualify for a major tournament! They have an easy group too. Having a Belgium player in your team these days can be compared to when it was cool to have a Brazilian player at your club back in the day... And we have 2... sweet!

No its just that they have a ridiculously good team and would be a shame for them to go another few years without playing in a tournament.

THing is Pearse, for international standard, they are also very young. Experience is everything at international level.

Bollox. With a decent manager, they should be a hellofa team NOW. And they shouldn't be just looking to qualify. They should Literally be considered potential World Cup winners! If they can't reach at least the quarter finals in Belgium, it has to be considered a massive cockup!

Who's said they are not a decent team now? Experience is everything at international level Beano, ......thats why there is under16, u17,18,u19,u21 etc etc, that is there to give players experience amongst other things.

Beano's right.... the fact that by the time Rio comes round a number of Belgians will have had experience in the Premier League and Champions League. Question is though.... will they be a Nearly Men Netherlands team or have the ability to go all the way in tournaments?

That's the manager's job to get them playing well together! But they should qualify Egos or no Egos!

France, Argentina, Holland, all examples of teams with players who have inflated ego's and it affects how they play on the pitch.....regardless of manager......

Still though those teams have all made quarter final stages at least in recent tournaments. Belgium haven't played in one since 2002. That's what I said at the start of the thread. They should be at least making the tournament proper, especially seeing the group they are in. They now have some unreal players and should be the neutrals favourite to watch!

Yeah fair enough maybe 4 years ago and further back they didn't have the best of teams but they should've made the Euros. Point is their current national team is class now and I can't wait to see them in a major tournament so they better make Rio
