    matt dawson has tweeted that he heard that j.p.mcmanus ( horse racing type person ) may be taking over at Everton and was requesting if anyone else had heard anything ......well...????

    ex england rugby international ( world cup winner ) , question of sport team captain ( not much competition with Tufnell ) !!!...and fairly well know Evertonian..

    heard rumours mate, but it is just rumours from what i gather, giving people something to tal kabout, i dont see any truth in it.

    Like i say, few years back there was a rumour, but that never happened, dont see why it would be any different now?

    I refuse to get excited or beleive any of these rumours anymore untill I see him at Goodison with a scalf around his neck a big cheesy smile an blag us about how he's gonna take Everton foward

    I think it was just rumours which had grown from Mickey Quinn saying he had some big news to give today - ended up being nothing in the end.

    probably total nonesense, its build up evertonians week then knock them down, fed up of reading papers and all i hear is were totally finished as a club, like were the only team with any debts, sell a few players who were no big loss , bring a few in , yet its doom and gloom, type of scenario myes thrives in hope hes reading all this and gets the players fired up, like when we finished 4th :-) time to prove what a good manager you are moyesy

    Think it was something to do with in the week upto Arteta going the banks wouldnt give us any money untill we put money back into the buisness ourselves i.e sell someone, basically $hit we already knew the turd

    People were talking about this potential takeover on this forum on the 25th August, saying he's a blue.
    I personally think it's just media spin threw out by the club to divert from the BU plans.

    Thats £900million, and the majority of this is assets.  owns a £100m house, racehourse, and a couple of hotels.


    If he was going to takeover everton, the majority of the money would come from loans.

    I posted this on the old forum a week or two before it was taken down - on the "Owen's uncle thread". Was told that the rumour was doing the rounds at the Galway races which were on at the time.

    Not that I belived it - and hasn't Kenwright since said that there are no Billionaire's knocking on his door?

    The rumour was that it was a consortium led by McManus - not only McManus!
