completely agree KM, this will be the trump card, sell Barkley for 30million, almost sort the ebt out, start again. As much as i dont like it,i can see this happening.

Read this before.. Sick of him keeping tabs on our starlets everytime we produce them, if he does decide to bid for him i think we should just hold them for 35m+

    IMO anyways.. :)

Try £40m-£50m. Young, english and will be/already is better than Modric, Carrol and the rest of the over-rated players.

Yeah not a bad point, but we do lose a bargaining leg with our financial situation, clubs wouldn't offer us fair amounts as we've seen with Yobo and Fener...

But if it ever happened, would have to be for a premium price as the price for english home grown talent has gone up due to the squad registration rules.

Ross Barkley still has a lot to prove, reminds me a lot of james milner was at his age.  If give him 2 seasons yet to see what he can actually do.

people made the same mistake on rodwell, making him out to be the next gerrard/lampard or future captain of england.

Barkley is still young and has a lot to learn.

he reminds you of james milner?? was there poison in that sandwich you ate the other day?? Milner has never shown the guile on the ball that Barklay has shown already.

agree with tickets on this one oddly enough. No doubt he is a massive talent with a lot of potential but many players come along as world beaters but lose their way. I'd imagine that if he does reach his potential then he will end up at utd or city but I think he will stick at Everton for a couple seasons before he moves on. Not going to start putting massive price tags on his head because I honestly do know right now.

Tickets, Milner a side, 50 quid says, Barklay has a full England cap by the time he is 21, and another 50 quid says he ends up a more complete player than Milner???

The second bet is opinionated therefore tickets could just claim that Milner is a better all round  player.

Didny you say the same thing about rodwell.

the lad broke his leg in 3 places, if it happens again he may never play again,
like I said you cant predict how well a player is going to turn out.

Fookin hell what a cheery thought lol,

He's gonna end up there eventually, in the next season or 2, if it does happen I just hope Everton dont do this add-on crap again, full amount or fluck off

Never said anything about Rodwell, ive not sung his praises. But i can tell a good palyer when i see one and Barklay is going to be quality, if he stays injury free, he will be a right good one, trust me :)

If we keep him we could have 17 years of the lad (assuming he retires at 34). Looking at that £30mil would be a bargain as he would only cost £1,764,705.88 a year. I Crouch is worth ten mill at the age of 30 god knows what barkley costs
