    im glad he went before moyes ruined him, no offence like, but he is AWFUL with strikers....

    in all fairness we do need a striker, but in the long term, beckford isnt going to be the answer, he jsut not prem class for me. should we have sold him when we are short on numbers, well, thats another story.......................

    I agree. Beckford could get a goal but he wasted so many chances and every time he got the ball he tried to run at goal which more often then not just got him tackled and gave possession away. Wish him all the best in the championship though and same goes for Yak.

    LOL! I didnt dislike becks mate, he just seemed to have an air of arrogance about him for me, kind of like, i'll put a shift in when i want not when told, but i migth be wrong?

    Just think that his touch wasnt good enough and he was too happy going for goal at times when there was people in better positions, bit too ball greedy for me, and for the style of play we have, doenst hold the ball up well enough. Probably the wrong time to sell him though  when we only have the new guy saha and that other lad, anicheebee

    he scored 10 goals in his maiden season in the prem !!!...Thats pretty damn good ! Sorry..i think that was a bad mistake selling him. Selling our top scorer in a team that lacks goals anyway is suicide. yeh yeh..im gonna get slack for being negative but so what.

    Where are the goals going to come from now?  be ready again for the usual 451 with Anichebe up front. I for the life of me cant see what DM sees in him. shouldve got rid of him and kept Becks. Love ya Moyes but i cant stick up for ya on this one

    Don't think it was the best decision. Even with the money being offered, with our striking situation we shouldn't have taken it.

    Agree with this actually. They could not play upfront together at all, frustrating to watch them lose it between each other.

    I think we just needed the money and he was the only first team player we got an acceptable bid for!

    Had we known Arteta was gonna hand in a transfer request later that night and we'd get £10 Million for him, I don't think we'd have sold Becks!
