Breaking news here is that Everton FC are soon to announce the signing of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tom Huddlestsone as a valuable addition to the ranks at Goodison Park.

The £6m (€7.3m) sale of 25 year old Huddlestone is dependant on Luca Modric's impending move to Real Madrid going through. Real Madrid are set to announce the capture of Modric in the next few days, so Huddlestone will be confirmed as David Moyes third senior signing of the season by Wednesday of next week.

Many pundits believe that Everton were due to sign Olyimpiakos striker Kevin Mirallas, but this has never been the case. Tom Huddlestone has had a long term admirer in David Moyes for several years and the Everton supremo even tried to sign him as a youngster in 2005.

Huddlestone will add steel to Everton FC's midfield as well as goals.

Huddlestone is keen to re-establish himself following a serious ankle ligament injury which kept him sidelined for most of the 2011/2012 season and is confident that he is ready again to take to the field. David Moyes' backroom staff have an excellent record in keeping previously injured players in the game long term, and Huddlestone will undergo a stringent medical in advance of his signing.

Huddlestone was left out of the Tottenham squad which travelled to Newcastle earlier today.

Not sure how I'd feel about this one. He wasn't in the squad yesterday and I thought, "I bet he's linked with us..". depends, could be good, could be horrible, FIFA rates him though.
