Does anyone really think that the reason John Henry decided to buy Liverpool was because the fans were protesting? does anyone actually think John Henry decided he MUST buy Liverpool FC because of this? John Henry is a businessman who decided to invest in LFC because he wanted to make money. It was nothing to do with the fans protesting!

I think you are missing the point of the word "invest". People only do
this so that they can make a return on their investment. Abramovich will
not make a single penny from the millions he has invested in Chelsea.
The people who own city are in the same boat. But these people have
    money to burn.

Do you think those clubs are being well run? City
lost £131,000,000 and Chelsea weren't far behind. Have you been living
on the moon for the last few years? Have you not heard about the
    financial crisis.

What you really want is for some billionaire
with more money than sense to come along and take over Everton and
simply throw money at it just for the fun of it. Just spend their
bilions to keep you happy so you can have a good laugh at some other
poor sod supporting some other pennyless club after our team of
overpriced and overpayed prima donnas have just tonked them.

    Well
it's not going to happen and shame on you for wishing it would.
Football was supposed to be the working mans game. Not the toys of the
idle rich who just like to lord it up in the directors box and have no
real stake in the club at all.

Just have to say that I think it was very good post. For me I rather see that we don't get a billionaire.

But the fans must have had an influence in getting H&G out somehow, otherwise they'd have stayed? I agree with you to an extent with the rest of the post but I would disagree with the last line.

Hicks and Gillette wanted to sell the club for more than what the bought it for, I remember that they were very reluctant to sell when John Henry was interested and that was because they wanted to make some money out of the club. They even took Henry to court to try and block the sale of the club, and again, this was because they wanted to make money out of the club. Of course it was not because these LFC fans were marching up and down the streets shouting and screaming, these people are businessmen, the LFC fans are deluded if they think they were the ones who sold the club!

It is as pointless( which Everton will be ) as protesting b4 the match, you cant give answers to any of these guys at all, ive even pointed out the reasons why investers wont invest even if you get the board out, but it falls on deaf ears, same old answers back, RS and UTD fans did it, ffs listen or what, no way, as i said POINTLESS TALKING TO THEM. %-(

    Not true Howie.....

Some think trying to do something is best...

Others think doing nothing is best.....

If you think things will improve in coming years by doing nothing well....I just don't...

If they want to protest though, get behind the team first, let the game play and protest after IF they REALLY feel like they have to do it.......anyone would think the team ISNT the important thing in all this. FFS.

i agree, we need to get behind the team from now on, after all the bad press and doom and gloom, the last thing we need is more bad publicity and negativity.
