expectations for the season

    i think a top 10 finish and maybe win one of the cups, is the best we can hope for this season, what do you lot reckon ?

    I'm hoping that we can hit top 8, its going to be a season of consolidation though i feel, with a bit of rebuilding here and there. If Moyes gets 12million or so to spend, if we are doing ok by january, i hope he waits until summer to spend it, so we can save on wages for that bit longer, then hopefully maybe have 15 to spend next summer.

    A bonus would be Drenthe turning out to be decent and getting him signed for nothing next summer, cover for the back line, preferrably somebody that can play right across the back 4, a striker and midfielder, and i think 2012/13 season we will be back on track. Every team at some point goes through a transitional period, i think this season will have to be ours, so if we can still hit top8 i wouldnt be over the moon, but it would be decent in reality for us.

    i know theres a lot of doom and gloom and you listen to the media and were relegation candidates , i dont think our squad is so bad, if we can keep players fit and drenthe and denis turn out ok, i can see us doing similar to last season, a lot is down to motivation and organisation, if moyes can build a seige mentality something hes good at and at times i think he has lost that approach to games, and as supporters we need to get right behind the team now,get goodison rocking again, got to greatly improve on first 2 games or it will be a long season.

    I was confident of top 8 before the season started..... But now, I'm thinking top 12, anyone who thinks relegation is a certainty, well, I disagree.
