17 year old... club has turned down £5m for him... some gamble for a club with little money... unless we manage to do a loan deal for him... can't see it happening tbh...

it doesn't make any sense to bring him in for talks if they don't fancy the deal though, maybe it's a trial rather than terms being discussed but we threw 15 million at a 21 year old Belgium that turned out ok

Last thing we wanna do is sign a player for big money unless we know he can cut it in premiership. Not that I would not welcome a young up and coming striker but it would be a lot of weight on his shoulders if Jelavic got injured. Maybe get him plus a michael owen or another experience striker on loan

Didn't people say that about Scott Spencer...

We can't afford this signing. Simple really.

Can add great competition to or collaboration with Vellios and co. One for the future! Why not? We're on the up.

The squad gives cause for optimism as it is. However, it looks as if Moyes is poised to splash a bit of the Rodwell money about- why not allow him the rare luxury of a gamble?

He must be half decent if Arsenal, Spurs, City and Milan were all intrested in him.

he's 17..... can't we buy someone with a bit more experience and that will see the 1st team regular rather than a player who will spend the next 5 years in the reserves team and warming the bench sitting in line behind donkey boy Vic?

For 6 million too meaning we wont be able to sign anyone else for 5 years too!

Exactly. Better to buy a hot prospect that might amaze us than someone who doesn't exist. I say go for it. Fellaini is amazing now an he was young but more expensive. Moyes knows what he's doing.

Read a few reports on this lad and they seem to think he's gonna be a cracking player, myself i'd be over the moon if he came here. I for 1 doubt he will though if he has the likes as AC Milan and Arsenal after him, if he chooses us over them i'll be dancing a jig

Can we afford both Mirallas and Niang? Surely that would be all of the Rodwell money spent, bar the later add-ons?

Apparently Niang is on the drip so with the extra tv money next season it should be workable

I wouldn't want us to pay over the odds for an unproven 17 year old.
