    Now that we sold both Yak and Beckford and only brought in one striker (Denis Stracqualursi) this should give Vellios more chance to play this season. For me he looked really good and promising in pre-season. Maybe Moyes believes in Vellios and therefore choose to sell both the Yak and Beckford. What do you think about Vellios, could he step up this season?

    I like the lad. He looks promising and scored for the Greece U21 side. 

    Saha is going to be unavailable for some part of the season and with Vic and Denis as our only other strikers I think he'll have a few chances. And he's only 19 and he's only going to get better

    It's possible, and I also believe Magaye could do ok as a striker, when he's not comming on as a sub for Drenthe on the left wing. However I hope Saha stays fit enuf fand injury free so he can come on for Denis when needed or even play along side him (4-4-2 or 5-3-2). I have a feeling Denis will suit us quite well. Only concern is ifcan he keep up with the pace of this league. If so, he looks more than skilled enuff to make an impact.

    We have sold our main strikers and replaced them with an untried player from a very inferior league. Great bit of business by the club i don't think.
    I haven't seen anything in Velios to say he will be any good, but he should be given a chance, surely he can't be any worse than Vic FFS .

    Selling Beckford was just silly, he did well considering the limited chances he got.
    I think he would of only got better, Moyes fell out with him, that's the only reason i can see for him being sold.
    Moyes biting off his nose to spite his face.
    To sell him and keep Vic, who scored, lets see, no goals last season is a joke.

    Arteta was crap last season and didn't look to be any better in the games played so far, so i can understand that.
    But the Beckford sale makes no sense at all.
    If the new Argie scores 10 goals, as Beckford did i'm sure Moyes will be singing his praises.
    Struggling for strikers last season, so we sell 3 and get one untried one in, very silly imo
