can someone please explain to me in simpleton terms..why we seem to be in debt considering the money we have got from selling players to those we picked up for half the price?..why we seem to have some of the richest people in england on the board..but we are skint?..why an investor does not come in and snap us up?..i know the stadium is an issue but cmon..im starting to think something dodgy is going on with our fantastic club, real cloak and dagger stuff!!!! :-(

I think it was just very badly run and were paying the price from our dogs of war days.

Wage bill and interest on debt is the killer

But being honest all things considered there still seems a big gap.
Now we sold near what could be a fairly good prem team arteta Cahill rodwell billy etc etc etc and not really replaced them we should be forecasting to make a tidy profit each season.

I don't think we do a good job on kit sales either and gates don't make up the majority of the profit these days either.

I think we have just made drastic change to save the club getting any worse and if we don't spend the rodwell money I that will answer the question, who knows more might leave.

    "

""The main figures for the financial year ending May 31, 2011, were:
    - Improved group turnover up from £79.1m to £82m

    - Total wages up from £54.3m to £58m

    - Wages as a percentage of turnover (Inc. Outsourced catering and retail) up from 65 per cent to 67 per cent

    - Operating Loss before player trading remaining stable at £0.5m

    - Net debt remained stable at £44.9m""

"why we seem to have some of the richest people in england on the board..but we are skint?.."

what difference does that make? EFC is a business not a hobby. they would soon be skint if they didnt control the clubs finances as well as they do. ever heard of portsmouth or glasgow rangers? or leeds unt, come to that!

"why an investor does not come in and snap us up?"

because we are a lousy investment. and investor wants to make money, not lose it.
