Debt/January signings

From what I understand with the sales of players and Bellefield this year £30m should have been paid off the debt. So if the remaining £15m is refinanced the payments should only be about £1.8m a year instead of about £4.5m. Previously we were making a loss of about £3.5m a year after everything paid so if it is refinanced the loss would be £0.8m for the season.

Take into account the loss of vaughans, peanuts, arteta, yak and beckfords but adding the 2 newbies wages the club should be saving about £8m a year. So even based on how they did last year the club should make about £7.2m profit for this season.

So why say they will add extra debt in January now before we see how the team are doing. If they are doing well then don't gamble on getting us back into more debt. Any extra we get if we reach cup finals or europa place could be spent on players in the end of season transfer window.

If we sign players in January and it turns out the new signings are any good we may not have the money to buy them at the end of the season as we will probably have to pay back any money we borrowed in January.

In fact I would even go as far to say sell Rodders in January to clear the debt completely if he plays anything like he did last season. That would then make the club a more interesting prospect for take over.

A top 6 prem club running at a profit, tsk have you ever heard such a daft idea.

I don't think we will miss Arteta or Yak that much based on last years performances. Lets just hope that Drenthe and Denis make up for the goals we've lost from Beckford and that Billy finally lives up to our expectations fills Arteta's Boots in centre mid. Plus we've got the likes of Gueye, Vellios and Berkley breaking through. I think the squad this year could be quite exciting and i'm looking forward to a great season.

Can be achieved.. unless the anti-s have their way in which case we will buy another 3 players and end up bankrupt.

has Bellefield definitely been sold and how much for?? If it has, would that money be best used to put toward making finch farm ours instead of paying rent on it every year??

Bored of getting splinters sitting on the fence, too many people have called me a non Evertonian because I don't hate Kenwright. He still needs to go but I still prefer the path of logic over blind hatred.
