yes great profit, BUT HOW IS THAT PROFIT SPENT.  that is the question here.

    lescott money was spent poorly.

beckford money has gone on debts.

Rooney was sold for much less then he should have been, and again this was used to keep us affloat.

And lets put things in perspective.

Arteta, Beckford, yakubu Brought for 13.25m  sold for 15m, brilliant profit that is, and there probably wont be any profit as at least 5m of that will be used on debts

Well from that side of the coin then, Drenthe and Strac cost nothing, they are on loan, so as you say, we spend money poorly, we havnt spent anything here, so these 2 could turn out to be the best players we ahve ever signed using your method!!!

Drenthes contract is up at the end of the season he will defo leave, and look up Mauro Boselli.  he was the Argentinian leagues top scorer last season.  wigan signed him up.  have a look what happened to him.

    ERR Beckford came free...sold for up to 4...arteta 2.5 sold for 10..yak bought for 11 sold for 2...after 3 years "service"...eqautes to..income 16mill cost 13.5...PROFIT...2.5 MILLION....

TAKE YOUR SOCKS OFF NEXT TIME IT MIGHT HELP !!!

you are forgetting the 5m we need just to break even.

3 new strikers needed at the end of the season, replacements for drenthe.  and if we dont make 7th this season the 800k loss per place we finish lower.

you mean the 5 million that will be covered by either the income brought in form sales...OR the savings made on salaries over the remaing 37 weeks ?

you're (assuming again) that saha will retire....i'll give you the benefit of the doubt though..either velios can step in..or perhaps the new bloke will stay....or perhaps we'll bring someone else in ...ever think of that...or we may extend the loan period on denis !!! if you're assuming so will i.......

ok that's WIGAN ATHLETIC, not EVERTON.....

last time I checked we finished 7th last year while Wigan finished what, 16th and barely avoided relegation...

Mauro Boseli played for Wigan until last year's Jan transfer window so statistically speaking he didn't get in on a whole lot of action for Wigan.

What you're implying is that because 1 Argentinian striker struggled, they all will?

Even if Denis fails, it was an extremely low-risk acquisition so I really don't know why you're stirring up all this sh*t, oh wait it's because you shine Daglish's boots...

the difference is what I say probably happens.  e.g. saha retiring, needing 3 strikers next summer, drenthe leaving after his loan, ETC.  these are things that will  probably happen.

the things you come out with WE will get new billionaire owners. vellios will come in, Is more in hope.

I've already said this on here today but I imagine most if not all of the beckford money went on loan fees rather than to the bank.

    Even loans arent free

my only reservations about the argy striker is hes 23, and normally most south americans who are good enough tend to end up in the spanish league well before there 23, maybe hes a late developer, saying that i think hes got the physical attributes to be a hit with us, gives us a better option to play 4-4-2 with saha playing off him, can be more direct, and will look like a threat from corners, rather than relying on cahill and give the opposing defenders someone else to worry about other than cahill, might turn out to be shoite, might not, not a big gamble really.

heiti leaving this summer didnt happen , beckford been a failure in prem with no resale value was wrong , arteta not worth his new contract but now you complain we sold him

no problem with your negativity but you arent always right , for a balanced discussion you need to give pro's & cons which you never do & all you do is change the discussion to suit your views.

even before you see the 2 loan signings play you are knocking them , comparing to boselli because he failed , the negative pattern is there to see.

remember mascherano & tevez coming to west ham & fans laughed only to see how good they where , so give them a chance , i am not saying they will be brilliant but not saying they will fail either.

i do agree that the profit wasnt massive but only due to yak's value dropping , probably because he only has 1 good season with every club he has joined , good luck blackburn.

You type complete and utter rubbush and always have. You do not have a clue what you are on about and just type whatever you think will wind people up. When have you ever posted anything that actually made sense? You post as though you know things for a fact, which some of the more gullible on here believe, when all you have ever done for the couple of years you have been here is slag off the club or try to put a negative slant on things ( whilst always praising the RS). Remember when you were spouting financial rubbish until one or two of us, who actually run businesses and understand these things, challenged you and then it quickly became apparent that, once again, you were clueless.

    Just answer these questions

    1) who is your favourite player of all time

    2) why do you love being an Evertonian

I won't hold my breath for an answer because I know you are a RS, but some on here will I am sure be interested in your answers......
