hope not, he's improved so much this season....his transfer value still won't be big right now, we really need to keep him for another year or 2.....

Summary of the Season

Only 7 defeats in the league all season and unlucky to get 7th today. that is the lowest number of losses since 69/70 season. In 9 out of the last 10 seasons our points total would have been enough for European qualification.

We have two main problems: we draw too many matches and second, we do not convert enough chances into goals. Our goals to attempts ratio is poor compared with those above us, as well as some below. Take last week, 28 attempts against WH and only two goals.

We drew 15 games, many of which we should have won comfortably. If we had managed to convert only 7 of those draws into wins we would have finished 1 point behind City and qualified for CL.

We need a proven goal scorer - or two - and a larger squad, and we need to convert our dominance into goals. This for me is the biggest issue. Otherwise, all things considered, it has been a good season and shows progression. Especially considering our limited budget. Now all we need = as well as above- is a good manager to take us forward.

Am so happy hes gone. He absolutely strangled us with his negative tacticts and more than anything his gutless attitude when it came to the big games. If ever we were going to beat a top team,away it was today, he couldnt even manage that. Cant wait for next season noe, with a new manager

Would be the ideal signing from Porto and would solve our striker problems.

He's colombian (so that pretty foreign) 8 goals in 18 international appearances.

Has scored 25 goals in 27 games for Porto this season.

He's black and has an exotic name.

We cant go wrong, i've found us a new striker.

Should make the summer abit more interesting with regards to transfers as I'd imagine a few coming and going as a new manager will have players that they will want to bring in. Not sure what the future holds but it will certainly won't be dull this summer around goodison, fingers crossed for a few good buys :)
