Rumours are that Moyes asked about this summers transfer kitty and was told there was little or no money and Moyes told him that he would have considered staying if there had been a kitty to take us to the next step !!!

I think he is probably a really nice guy and will do well at Utd ,as Red nose will help him along ,I am sure that will be part of the deal and it is good for Moyesy
It goes without saying that he leaves us in a far better place than when he joined us and I thank him for that

Having said that he also hit a brick wall here and that cannot be denied

We will move on and forward
This club is mine for life and not just the short haul to earn many millions with nothing but a higher league position to show for it
I can never forgive him and his tactical blunders ,favouritism and negative attitude ( and playing the reserves against the Sh! te)
I truly believe that the players form at the beginning of this season was the best for many years and we are struggling to finish 6th , we should have been a few places higher ,this is a good squad

I wish him luck except when we play them but I am glad to see the back of him and hope he takes Round with him
It will be fun to see his tactics at Utd , Van Persie on the wing ,Rooney as a sweeper Phil brown nose as Captain

Moyes strength is not going to be much good -scouting the lower leagues for 1-2 mill bargains - and as he doesn't appear to be able to control the money grabbing players ,I wonder what he will bring to them

Anyway onwards and upwards and lets see the the best Bill can get for 3.5 mill a year ,Hopefully it is someone who can get the best out of the kids and not just say it

be funny if united announced mourinho as manager now.

I will not believe it until it is announced on the Club's website. Why was Moyes laughing as that reporter chased him to his car in London? I hope it was because he had just signed a new contract for EFC, and the paperman was assuming the same as everyone else. I will cling to any thread of hope, however thin.

Think it has come at a good time for all involved. I can't see Manu winning too much in the next few seasons...could be wrong...I don't go for Martinez as next manager either, this Victor guy looks pretty good though, we need someone with different ideas and more attack minded.

I think it will be the end of him as Chairman.

I think the shareholders will be frustrated by his fumblings in handling DM's contract, and now losing an asset, that has cost us upwards of 15m over the course of his contract for nothing.

I'm a Saints fan and I've joined the website tonight purely to show my respects to Everton FC, their fans and your wonderful manager David Moyes. The news must be a double-edged sword for you Toffees. Gutted to lose him but so proud that by supporting him so well, you have helped to make him by providing him with the longevity of contract that Bill Kenwright rightly supported you in giving him.

Everton fans have always been respected by other clubs for their fairness, and mutual expect always exists with other clubs. I'm sure the majority of right minded Toffees fans will - with heavy hearts - wish David Moyes all the best for the future (except in two games per season!) and appreciate that he deserves the future he is in line for. Hold your heads up with pride ladies and gentlemen of the blue half of Liverpool and forever let it carry you forward in the best traditions of your club that most of us other fans can only respect.
