Last time I was up, there were flyers in a few pubs, then there was a march pre-Wolves.

On here though it is bereft of any mention. Did they eventually realise it was silly? Do we not talk about them, like Uncle Derek who doesn't get invited to family dos any more?]]>

My point is this, how are we (supporters) supposed to be positive when the Manager and Players cant show any positiveness in interviews and on the field???  In todays papers we have Neville again the idiot talking about what a brilliant job his brother is doing on sky sports, i mean, WTF????  Moyes then having a laugh about approaching T.Henry when he saw him at Arsenal???  Where is our pride???  Dont make a joke about our current status, we have a history of famous No9s dont take the pisss out of us ....  Its you Moyes that bought all them strikers not us, its you who failed to make it work, not us!!!   Unless we go all out and find someone this january who will help us leading the line Im afraid we could be looking at the championship!!!  Dont tell me, we will be ok bolox, where the hell are we going to get the goals from????  Every game that comes, I struggle to see where a goal will come from?  All our hope will be in a penalty or from any dead ball situations....

Frighting times ahead!  Mark my words...

we all know we have a full team of likeables so i think its making it difficult to sell these players when there price is at there highest. no1 seems to want anyone to go which i think could be creating a big problem with furthering the team.

Up next we have Norwich with ex-Everton goalkeeper John Ruddy between the sticks and if we can't force this guy into making a save then some changes are needed ASAP.

Just a thought but is Drenthe's goal vs Fulham the only goal/ decent shot we have had from distance? I know Rodders scored from outside the area that game but it was only just.

As someone who grew up the 80s when this club was a big club, acted like a big club and had the ambition of a big club i find this soundbite sickening.

Even more so when it seems many have chosen to lap it up.

Everton FC is a real giant of the English game with a tradition and history few clubs can match, so some top half finishes but no trophy for 16 long years tells me we are punching BELOW our weight, which, in fact we've been doing since we last won the title in 1987.

It does make me chuckle when some fans stand there singing 'if you know your history' but say a few top half finishes is this club 'punching above it's weight'.

It's obvious they haven't the first clue about our history, as it's 'NSNO' not 'mediocrity will do'

'Punching above our weight'....do me a favour.

I've absolutely no idea why the heirarchy at Goodison are trying to turn us into another Bolton or Wigan.]]>

I know that this is perhaps "understandable" given the lacks of funds available, but really the lads have to look at themselves and ask some questions.

Howard - American national team number 1 (valued c.£9m)
Jagielka - Regular England squad and starting more (valued c.£10m+)
Baines - Regular England squad and statistically one of the best attacking defenders around (valued c.£15m)
Heitinga - Vice-captain of the Dutch national team (valued c.£9m)
Rodwell - Regular England u21 player and breaking into the national squad (valued c.£12m)
Fellaini - Belgiam national team regular (valued c.£17m)
Cahill - Australia legend (valued c.£12m)
Coleman - Irish squad (valued c.£6m)
Bilyaletdinov - Was a regular Russia national team starter (valued c.£6m)

After that you're talking youngsters/older players and crocks.

So, there's the basis of a starting 11 who are all deemed good enough to play for their national teams. Most of them have proven themselves at EPL level.

We are missing forwards. That much is obvious. What bugs me though is that these players, and the manager constantly bang on about not having money to add quality.  Moyes never really had money to add quality - when he did have money in the past it was after player sales. So, from Moyes' point of view nothing really has changed. He still needs to sell to buy.  It just comes across in his interviews that he's lost that spark. Maybe he does need a change of scenery.

What I can't forgive is when the players start coming out and talking about the financial situation.  What do they think they will do to change things?  Jagielka is the one who's annoyed me talking to the papers about no money.  I'm sorry but if those players I've listed above pulled their fingers out, and if the manager had some enthusiasm things might be better for us fans. I understand that they get interviewed and get asked their opinions, but they could easily swerve those questions.

Yes, we all want more money but at present its not their. My experience is that when players talk about no money etc their performances inevitably dip. I guess its just a job for them and excuses for poor performances make it easier for them. Remember the RS when they were protesting and they didnt like Roy Hodgson, they couldn't be @ssed playing and were below us in the league.  Psychology has to come into this and Moyes is giving off shoite signals. The players are giving off shoite signals. Something needs to change and in all of this, the players will go out and get results if their heads and the tactics are right. That all rests with the manager.

Moyes has a starting 11 that is worth more than a hell of a lot of premier league teams, there really is no excuse for the cr@p they are playing at present.

I haven't spent a lot of time on this - apart from typing it - but essentially we have the nucleus (or more) of a good team but show poor tactics and no ambition. The lack of funds has become an excuse for poor performances. Yes if BK secured funds then it would be great, but the manager who is responsible for motivating players/selecting the team and the deciding the tactics we employ just isn't performing.

Basically, Moyes needs a steel toe cap up the backside; or the sack.  Who else is there?  I don't care. Anyone, just as long as they play some strikers and motivate the players.

i am truly sick to the back teeth of everton now. lets face it, we are never gonna get investment. notice how all the rumours of a take over started when the half season tickets went on sale, and then promptly 'went quiet'. the gap in the league now is too big and 'best of the rest is 7th which, we wont get. i cant believe a few years back we were trying to get 4th.....and now its a top half finish. Mark my words, we are slowly being striped down into a team fighting relegation every year. jags, baines, felli, rodwell and barkley will all go and we will end up with gazza and ginola again

“He was one of our best, if not our best player,” said Baines. “Obviously if there is a chance for him to come back, we’d all love to have him back.

“I know he was here and left so there might maybe be a bit of animosity. But when he was here, even up until his last day he worked hard and got his head down. No matter what, he would do the same wherever he goes. He’s a worker. Top class in his quality and a grafter as well. It’s what Everton’s always been about, even the foreigners we’ve brought in have had an English mentality.

“Steven and Mikel (Arteta), at the best they’ve rolled their sleeves up and they can do the hard work as well.”

“Football changes so quickly. He was in a moment where he was in top form. He got a chance to go to a club in the Champions League and all of a sudden now he’s at a club which isn’t there, and he’s not playing.

“People might look at that and say what was the point, but I’m sure he’ll say ‘If I hadn’t have done it I wouldn’t have known’.

“You can never tell what way it was going to go. At that time he felt it was the right opportunity for him and it just hasn’t panned out as he’d probably have wanted it.”
