Cant we just cut our losses on Bilyalazyditnov and recoup 5million and sign Jordan Rhodes??

Its not rocket science surely?

We only need 3 or 4 players for god's sake, Feel like twisting my ball bag round sometimes with this club until it snaps off its that frickin annoying and frustrating.

Its like the worst pantomine ever, and nobody even gets to shout he's behind you or wagon wheels get thrown into the crowd or anything :(

We'd also have a much cheaper wage bill. Turnover will drop but outgoings will drop by more putting us in the black every season (provided we don't get relegated which I feel is more likely within 5 years if we DON'T get radical). Anytime we would sell a player, the money wouldn't go straight to the bank and we'd be making it easier for an investor to see something wortwhile in us.

Moyes would be forced to buy players in or under the £6 Million price range - which is his strength and which there is nobody better at (granted it is more difficult now).

We'd also have a huge windfall (probably) from the sale of Barkley in about 3 years (we all know it'll happen) to take us up a level similar to what the Rooney money did.

It's just a discussion point.

Thoughts?

What if, that was the clubs plan all along..... to get themselves straight financially? While Moyes keeps us at least keeps us ticking over in the top half of the prem?

personally, it makes sense. We sure as hell wont get investment and the banks are never going to lend us big money while our credit is maxed out. And yea, digging up players like Vellios and Coleman for peanuts and turning them into decent prem players, is win win for the club but, the trouble is, on the pitch, it doesn't seem like the team are up to keeping their end of the deal. Maybe its just a bad patch but if doesn't turn around soon, then we will become a bottom half team, and then relegation struglers.

just a thought tho.

To be honest, I think that Bill Kenwright is the problem at EFC at the moment. I do actually like him as a person and as an Evertonian, but I have to admit that he is holding the club back and I think many people know it. He said in the summer that Moyes would have money to spend on a striker in January, but we are yet to see any new players signing for EFC. And I think that until BK gives the manager some money to sign a good striker, we will continue to struggle for goals, and if you don't score goals you don't win games. Any thoughts?

What about performance-related wages for players? http://www.evertonfc.com/forum/discussion/4120/what-about-performance-related-wages-for-players Mon, 09 Jan 2012 10:44:04 +0000 pk4efc 4120@/forum/discussions
1. Only a portion of the player's pay is performance-related but it should be a substantial portion e.g. 70-80% performance pay.

2. The player perfomance would be assessed by input from a number of factors e.g. a 5 member club panel (not sure how this should be selected). The panel's decision would account for say 50% of the performance rating and the other 50% would come from Everton supporters who had purchased a match ticket. Unfortunately, I don't live in the UK and rarely get to matches but this would give those who pay considerable amounts of money to support EFC an opportunity to have a say in a real way.

3. Of course injured players would have a compensatory arrangement so they weren't being unfairly penalised, but fit players could be motivated to compete for places on the 1st team.

Okay it's not a perfect system but there are many positives e.g.
a) the club wouldn't have to pay the same wages for poor performances
b) If other clubs used a similar system then mega-rich clubs' good players who regularly weren't making the 1st team would be more likely to transfer to smaller clubs for more game time.

I know there are probably a good number of things that I haven't even thought of, but as I say, this idea just came into my head this morning so I'd like to hear your thoughts - and go easy on me please! ]]>

Not the smartest thing Mr kenwright said say to the supporters is it?

What have Mr kenwright done for the club?
Some will say everything, some will say nothing.

The big question is, how is he gonna turn this around, cause I cant see a plan for that.

Where did 30£ mill go when we still have 45£ mill in debdt?
