I know that there is still a couple of months to go until the end of the season, but does anyone think we will get any of our loan players on permanent deals? Drenthe will be available on a free at the end of the season, but would he want to come here? Pienaar will return to Spurs at the end of his loan, but would he be affordable? As for Stracqualursi, I think that he would be happy to come here permanently, so I guess it depends on what he does between now and the end of the season, but if he keeps up his work rate I think DM will be keen. What do you think?

Back home now from a good trip over to see Everton. I've now seen five games at Goodison and four away over the years. The City game, with Jelly introduced at halftime, will be a memorable one for Everton supporters. I'm glad I was there for that.
I met Howie 8 in the Winslow before the game. A good guy. Glad to put a human face on the Blue Roomer.
DW Stadium in Wigan is sterile, nothing special. I blame Moyes for not being more aggressive.

My message to Everton followers who live in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, etc., is that you must show up in person to be reminded that these games are played in real stadiums, not just on TV. A century ago, it would have been impossible to imagine, but now anyone can be transported to Merseyside in half a day for a few hundred dollars. It'll be worth it in terms of the memories -- well, maybe not of the Wigan game.

Would you play Big Vic over Straq?

I think both players are similar in a way but who would you want to start with?

I'd personally go with Straq. We've only got him till the end of the season so we may aswell use him as much as we can and I also think he's works harder than Vic.

Vic has got us goals when we've really needed them and it's understandable why he's getting hacked off with the limited first team action. Now that Jelavic is in the picture he's even further down the pecking order.

Vic seems to be always touch and go. Is he going to have a good game this weekend or is he going to have a bad one? same can be said with any striker I know but I just consistantly find i'm pulling my own hair out when Vic's on the pitch.

Partnering seems to be an unlikely option with Moyes' consistant defensive tactics. But the only way Vic will get a game is if we have 2 strikers on the pitch most of Vic's goals are from being partnered with another striker

I wonder if anybody thinks Vic is a starter or an impact sub

I can't find my original post last summer about Everton tracking Derry City's winger James McClean. Sadly he went to Sunderland for £350,000. I can't help thinking we missed out on a real bargain. He's probably already repaid Sunderland's investment

He's had a lot of stick since he's been at the club, but just recently he has shown a huge maturity and sense of responsibility at the heart of the defence, and i think his market value will shoot up if he keeps playing like he is. He is calm and does his best to marshall the players around him, and i've been hugely impressed. Also i think pip has started to find his form again since moving back to rb, bit harsh on hibbo who has be solid there this season, but pip gives a better balance between attack and defence.

Already thinking About Next Transfer Window!

Yes I am already thinking about the next window (seeing as this season is still pretty much a write off as far as the league is concerned)

Looking at the squad; Distin's age, Neville's age, Drenthe not staying (I'd bet he won't), him, Straq and Pienaar having to be either replaced our purchased, lack of cover for Baines which is an ever ticking time-bomb, the still lack of creativity in the centre, Hennamann and/or Mucha leaving...all meaning we need to have a really busy transfer window again in the Summer....and we'll probably need to sell at least one (probably more) of Rodwell, Jags, Baines, Coleman, Heitinga or Fellaini to be able to get the above AND replace whoever we sell - even allowing for the fact that some will be loans!

Moyes probably won't do it all in one window - but yanno what - he should!
