Fan of the Year

Lifelong Evertonian Cathy Keig was named as the first recipient of the Everton Fan of the Year award.

She received her award of a signed and framed Everton shirt from James Beattie.

She said: "I have supported Everton for 50 years and I follow the team every week, home or away.

"I am really honoured to receive this award but I am pickin it up on behalf of all Evertonians. And it is lovely to know the fans are appreciated by the club.

"My favourite player was Brian Labone - he was my first hero so it is fitting to have received this now."
